Take it to my grave
Not taking into account inflation and the cost of said hair cutting device (RRP £24.99 plus any future replacements required over a lifetime), as well as the less tangible social penalties of embarrassment for looking a twerp (which frankly most hairdressers do a good enough job of anyway) but also rewards from self satisfaction at improving my somewhat limited skill base, I stand to avoid spending the following sum of money on the basis that: 1 - An average cost of a haircut is taken to be approximately £10 [I have no idea if this figure coincides with reality, as it's been so long, but seems reasonable for a man-boy and I think is how much my last cut cost me (including the inevitably awkward and unwarranted tip, for the equally inevitably socially awkward and unwarranted experience)]. 2 - As of May 2012, the average life expectancy for a UK male is approximately 77.2 years [I know I could die right here and now, or even next week...or the week after, but for arguments sake, I will live to this age]. 3 - On average, I will get my hair cut once a month [while this may seem ridiculously frequent to some or entirely necessary to others, my hair grows at a reasonably fast rate, and on the basis that I intend on maintaining this 'style' for the remainder of my life (at least as far as this analysis is concerned), once a month seems the fairest (and mathematically simplest) frequency for undertaking a regular haircut]. 4 - My hair will continue to grow at it's current rate for the remainder of my life [barring baldness or change of tastes/desire to avoid all human contact and grow my hair into an all encompassing, full-body, human-hair-turban, in which I shall be protectively cocooned by my luscious locks until after the judgement day / Judgment Day / 2012 etc and henceforth be known as Godilocks (assuming all else is dead and I can therefore proclaim myself a god...if not, then I shall simply be named an abstract symbol , and if the artist-formerly-known-as-Prince-no-hang-on-a-sec-I-shall-still-be-known-as-Prince-please remains alive...then I guess I'm screwed)]. Therefore, the cost of a haircut (£10) multiplied by the number of months in the remainder of my life (77.2 - 28.6 = 48.6 years or 583.2 months) will result in the eventuality that I shall avoid spending £5832 needlessly in hairdressers, all as a result of purchasing this handily-adjustable, steadily-rechargeable, reliable and apparently, seriously under-priced device. I take warm inspiration from the lyrics of Regina Spektor following her advice that "maybe you should cut your own hair cos that can be so funny, it doesn't cost any money and it always grows back, hair grows even after your dead", at which point, I shall happily leave the cutting to the hairdressers.

Does the job, questions over longevity
In terms of sheer ease these clippers are great. I just strip-off, sit in the bath in front of mirror, clip away then have a shower straight afterwards, very easy. They do a sharp, even cut and are very easy to clean and maintain, however (and I don't know if this is the case with all clippers as these are the only ones I have owned) the blades do not last long. I've had the clippers for around 18 months and have just bought the third blade set (available from the Wahl website). The first just went blunt, now the springs in the second one are knackered. I do use it weekly but I would expect it to last slightly longer. Still a great purchase and well worth it for the convenience factor alone.

a light seemingly well built clipper from wahl
initial impressions review: the clipper is well designed. it comes with lots of accessories including oil and a small brush for the blades, a number of different length guides to clip onto the blades and scissors. all pretty standard stuff. first out of the box the clippers need charging for up to 18 hours. i just used the clipper and i'm impressed. i cannot comment on the battery life but the instructions say that it will cut for 45minutes before needing recharge i.e. well over what the average home user will ever need for a single cut. the clipper is not as heavy as the mains operated clippers that i used before, which can be seen as a positive or a negative depending upon your view on how clippers should feel in the hand. i liked heavy. i now like lighter. the blades are super effective in cutting hair (and so they should be when its brand new). its recommended the blades be lubricated both before and after use and there is a large card in the package saying its important to keep the blades clean and lubricated. the blades can be removed from the handle simply by pulling them forwards, the whole blade unit clips off, and can be popped into sterilizing fluid or washed under the tap which is great if your clippers are shared in the family etc. the power supply does not use a usb plug to charge the clippers, but has a small figure-of-eight type plug which is proofed against insertion the wrong way around. it needs a fairly positive push into the clipper to get it to seat properly. the first cut that i have just made was super effective, the battery lasted the 15 minutes it took me to accomplish a good cut, and i have no negative things to point out. i guess one good thing about having a rechargeable unit is that it can be taken away on holiday etc for a tidy-up cut without having to drag along a long cable and plug. so far so good, and i am trying not to give these clippers the full 100% recommendation i.e. to find fault, but in all honesty cannot give them anything but the full 100%.

Reading details carefully
I bought this as I understood from the description that you could use it uncorded or corded if the battery went low mid cut, this is not the case, the clippers are top quality easy to use one more gripe would be the red charging light never goes off, it does not indicate a charged clipper with the usual green light ,that being said , a lovely little thing

Perfect to shave your head in the shower
Second one of these I’ve bought. The first one has lasted me over 4 years and when it came to replacing it, I felt that this just looks better and more practical than the newer model with the chrome finish. I use this in the shower all the time. Basically, just by itself without any attachments. Primarily I use it to shave my head. There are occasions where I’ve used it on my face if I have a beard growth of a couple of weeks and it makes light work of it. So my razor flows easier and it takes less time to hack off my beard. I know you are supposed to keep the blades oiled but I’ve always shaved my head using by applying a little Johnson’s baby oil and wetting my hair and it seems to work and do the trick. In one of my pictures you should see my previous pair of clippers with the blade off, it’s easy to take off and one and keep it in good condition by making sure you clear the blades with the brush that comes with the pack to get rid of any stuck hairs. I’ve bought this because my previous one packed up after a couple of years of use. The shaver fits right in the hand because it’s ergonomically designed and the rubberized surface makes gripping easy even when wet. If' you shave your head at least once a week, these clippers are a bargain, especially considering when you used to go to the barbers it cost at least a fiver to get your haircut. This works brilliantly, it does exactly what you need it to, maintenance is minimal, and it will last you a good couple of years.

Genial
He tenido antes de otras marcas. Esta es con diferencia la mejor. Eché de menos un peine de 1.5mm que no trae, pero lo he comprado aparte. La uso para cabello y barba. Tiene pinta de que va a durar. Muy satisfecho.
