Her weight loss happened over months and she was worryingly thin. The vets suspected cancer but nothing was found especially as she threw up and had diarrhoea a few times. Nothing cancerous or anything else was found and she gained a few grams but was still noticeably thin. After a few months of no further weight gain I decided to put her on a high calories food to help her gain weight. This did the trick. I started her mid April and by mid July she has made fantastic gains and looks great. She seemed to have developed a sensitive stomach as well with the weight loss and with probiotics that has cleared up but all in all the Royal Canin has been great. She's a very picky eater - will eat a little unsalted butter, hates greek yoghurt and won't eat sardines or anything humanish - bar roast chicken skins.I've never had a cat that was so blinking difficult to feed!
