Musso Lussino 4080 Piccolo ice cream maker in stainless steel Made in Italy

Easy to use, just a clockwork timer, and separate buttons for the paddle and freezer. Robust, heirloom quality build. Comes with a simple recipe booklet and you can make a 0.75 litre batch of ice cream in 30 minutes starting from a chilled custard. Easy to see what's happening. You can hear when the batch is ready as the motor has to work harder. The fixed bowl has to be wiped out with warm water...fairly easy. Great machine, I love it!

Great ice cream. We ordered the 4080 model. The company contacted us immediately to inform us that they were out of stock of this model but we could have the larger STELLA model immediately and for the same price as the 4080. Otherwise we could have the 4080 model in about 3 weeks. We agreed to take the larger Stella model. It produces wonderful frozen yoghurt, ice cream, sorbet, gelato. Seems to be well manufactured. We have not had a single issue. We have produced about 20 different batches of ice cream, sorbet, etc. At 30kg the Stella model is heavy and for most kitchens might be a bit bulky but this does not detract from the quality of the product. Given that the company also produces commercial grade ice cream makers I consider this a plus. Have had some friends and family test the final product. We all love high quality sorbet and gelato. Some consider the end result better than some of the gelato we get at ice cream shops around the city. It seems to produce the final product in about 20-25 minutes vs the advertised 30-40 minutes but I think this depends on ambient temperature and original ingredients.

Having made a variety of different types of ice cream, and sorbets - I have had wonderful results and am delighted that I decided to buy this particular ice cream machine. It looks good, is very well made, simple to use and the price reflects the quality. I wish I had bought this machine years ago ! Really delighted.

Machine arrived promptly. I made my first batch of ice-cream (pistachio) using Musso lussino recipe. Very easy to use and easy to clean. I made just over 1 litre of Ice-cream and it only took 30 mins to churn.

Very expensive for what it does is it the best available probably is my last machine was a quisin art and it was rubbish this does freeze a lot quicker and smoother but is it really worth 700+ probably not

It was a shock to find this has an EU plug and no UK plug. It is way too big and heavy for me to take to a PO.

Nach 5 Monaten Erfahrung: Top-Maschine! Kann alles von einfachem Milch- und Fruchteis über Joghurteis bis zu komplexen Rezepten à la Ben & Jerry’s mit groben Schokoladenstücken, Krokant, Nüssen und/oder Keksen drin. Mit etwas Übung schafft man auch einen Karamell- oder einen Marmeladen-Swirl wie bei Ed von Schleck. Also Geschmack, Cremigkeit und Vielfalt mindestens wie aus der Eisdiele… mit qualitativ hochwertigen Aromen (siehe Movito Eispaste) und etwas weniger Sahne und Zucker als in den üblichen Rezepten angegeben sogar besser. Absolutes Highlight: Die Maschine kann in 5 Minuten wieder blitz blank gereinigt werden. Einziger Gedanke, dem man sich vorher stellen sollte: 750 ml sind für 2 Personen okay. Wir haben jetzt immer 3 Sorten aus Vorrat. Wenn man öfter Gäste oder mehrere Kinder hat bedeuten 750 ml dass man ggf. wöchentlich nachproduziert.

Me llego antes de los esperado y muy bien empacado, tenía mis dudas por las reseñas que pusieron que parecía usada la maquina pero en mi caso llego todo excelente, se ve que es completamente nueva y hasta ahora funciona de maravilla.

J’ai longtemps hésité avant de l’acheter à cause du prix élevé mais je ne regrette pas ! Les glaces sont faciles à réaliser et d’une qualité qu’on ne trouve plus dans aucun glacier. C’est simple de faire de délicieuses crèmes glacées et sorbets avec des ingrédients sains et sans sucre ni colorants ou alors des glaces très caloriques avec des ingrédients prêts comme du chocolat Kinder ou de la crème de marrons etc. On se régale elle sert tous les jours depuis le début de l’été ! La machine est imposante, un peu bruyante, facile à nettoyer. Nous n’avons jamais dégusté de glaces aussi bonnes ….

I did a good bit of research on machines, but I had no idea how much I would love this one -- never having had an ice cream machine of any kind previously. I took a chance on this one. It truly makes the smoothest, most delicious ice creams, sorbets, etc. you could want. The fact that it has so little buttons and gizmos on it makes it all the better. It's so simple, just flip the churn and cooler buttons, set the timer, then go do something else until the timer is up. If there was one thing that I'd change about the machine, is that I'd be able to turn it off earlier than what I initially set the timer for (e.g., by simply being able to turn the timer to "off"). For some reason, you can't do that and must either wait for it to finish the timed cycle or unplug it (which I've never done). Now, I just set it for a bit less time than I think it will need and add a few minutes at the end, if needed (sort of like baking a cake). It's truly not a big deal at all, just something to know and to add to the next design of the machine for more convenience. Otherwise, it makes perfect frozen treats and, yes, albeit expensive, it is worth it! My "foodie" friends who have had the best gelatos all over the world say it's some of the best they've ever had. I love not having to store or pre-freeze a bowl and can get going on making treats as I choose. I love being able to do batch after batch quickly. I also found it very easy to clean -- several swipes of your sponge and soap and you're done. I get that done in about 2 minutes. Like another earlier reviewer, I have never written an Amazon review even though I buy often from Amazon. But I just had to write about this machine. It's amazingly good, sturdy, elegant, and produces fabulous treats in my opinion. By the way, I got the book "The Perfect Scoop" (by Lebovitz) from Amazon and it's got some tasty recipes.

Es una maravilla. No soy un experto en la elaboración de helados como me rima fino que la mayoría de los que estén pensando en comprarse una heladera. Hasta ahora me arreglaba con el accesorio helador de la kitchen aid. Y no tengo queja. Aunque es cierto que tienes que disponer de espacio de sobra en tu congelador para que el accesorio esté en el punto óptimo de temperatura. Sin embargo con la musso no existe ese problema, la enchufad y la dejas enfriar unos 10 minutos antes de verter la base de helado en ella. Y en 20-30 minutos tienes un helado impresionante (fundamental una buena receta claro). Además puedes hacer varias tandas de helado seguidas ya que se limpia fácilmente con una esponja y un poco de agua tibia. No hace casi ruido. Y el helado sale súper cremoso. Para que quede perfecto debes dejarlo unas 4 horas una vez hecho en un recipiente en el congelador. Aunque se puede tomar recién elaborado, con una textura más tipo sundae. Pese al precio merece la pena
