Lindt Excellence 70% Chocolate 100 g (Pack of 5)

Contrary to what my wife might say I am not a chocoholic! But I do appreciate good chocolate and Lindt is up there with the best.I never expected that I would buy chocolate from Amazon but good chocolate has doubled in price in recent years and needs must. I tend to use the Lindt 70% plain chocolate for cooking and for the occasional soothing bedtime drinks. Also, try putting about about 10g (2 tablets) in a Beef Stew just before serving. Sound ridiculous but it gives the stew more body as well as a silky sheen - and no one will ever guess the secret ingredient!But back to the 'recipe for the day'. Simply add 3 or 4 tablets of Lindt 70% chocolate to a mugful of cold milk. I use fully skimmed milk but semi or full fat would do just as well. Place mug in microwave oven for 70 - 90 seconds until it is just below boiling. The chocolate will melt very quickly either by stirring with a spoon or an Aerolatte whisk. There is no need to froth because the end result is delicious either way. This is the sublime comfort food and the drink is so, so different than the sickly sweet substitutes that masquerade as hot chocolate drinks.PS. My wife prefers a weaker mix of chocolate so just adjust for taste.

First time I have bought choc off tinternet.These were a great price 64p per bar DELIVERED cheaper than Tesco in store.Every little helps !!I did have to buy two 5 packs to get free delivery.Best before is 11 months away, so that's good.I expected them to be old stock, near to BB date.Will buy more, lot's more!!!purely for the health benefits of course.28/09/2014 Update to Review. This chocolate has no milk (Lindt Excellence 70%), which is great as I'm lactose intolerant. I was previously not a fan of dark chocolate but now I love the stuff. I've found the 70% to be the best balance of cocoa for dark chocolate and this pack of 5 is good value for money and it goes quickly!

Bought this to eat one piece a day as advised by a herbalist and only see one problem with it....sticking to 1 piece a day...it's yummy and is just as good as green and blacks but for a lot less money...will be buying again!

I ordered the 70% Cocoa option. It is nice and creamy but still has the strong dark taste. I am only able to eat a few squares at a time because of the strong taste, so it is an ideal purchase; any less percentage of cocoa and I would be eating the whole bar in one go. Great quality chocolate.
