Get past the Coffee Nazi and this product is top quality and makes a decent espresso, I love it.
I bought this yesterday an it is ace!! I sound like a right kid? It arrived next day, opened it and it was a quality bit of kit from the start. I've been debating whether to get a Handpresso for about 7 years and wondered why it cost so much, it is like getting a Rolex, it is pure quality.I have a Delonghi bean to cup machine in the house, I used to have a Aeropress and I use Lavazza Qualita Rossa as my drug of choice. I wanted something to take away with me on business trips so I could make black americano's up and have the occasional espresso. I made an espresso very easily with the handpresso, it tasted lovely and was fun to do. Whilst I am not a Coffee Nazi, I do like a decent brew and all the fuss around tampers and intense portafilters is unwarranted. If using ground coffee just fill the little receptacle and tamp down with the end of the Handpresso, jobs a goodun and excellent coffee is produced.I would say if youre more in to long coffee I would consider the Aeropress as it will produce a fairly decent cup at a much cheaper price, however if you like espresso and quality kit, then buy one of these.

Expensive, but a quality product
I bought this as a gift and it arrived well packaged and within a couple of days. This one works with both ground coffee and 44mm ESEs.The hard case, as well as the bits and pieces inside are all quality items and give the impression they are built to last.Did have a few peoblems with the pods initially, as if you lie them flat, like in the instructions, it ruins the seal and you ent up with coffee everywhere. However, sort of scrunch them on the middle of the plate and this machine makes a quality cup of espresso. The flask and the glasses are nice are well made, and if you like your coffee on the go, then this may be for you.

Incredible idea well executed
I travel a lot and struggle to get a decent coffee in most places - especially the offices I work in. This is the one device I had therefore been searching for without even knowing it. The coffee is great (although not as good as a proper coffee machine) and easy to make. The unit is portable and easy to travel with, though airport security nearly always has a look. It's a truly brilliant product and although a bit leaky sometimes, seems solid enough. Time will tell I guess.

Must be in my top 5 all time purchases
I cannot drink coffee unless it is good espresso and this makes consistently good espresso. I use either a Porlex hand grinder or a Gaggia MDF on 8 and load the pods and tamp with either the back of a big spoon or the La Pavoni Tamper I have at home. Crema every time. Pre heat your cup and the bowl before use. Used around 80 to 100 times. The design, presentation, build quality and performance of this is 10/10. 3 pod holder is good if your are busy at work.

Totally awesome
Holy s#*t, this thing is awesome. I would be properly miffed if it made a mediocre espresso, but it doesn't. Makes a fantastic espresso. Get your hands on some hot milk and.......macchiato or latte, ta daa. I am saving about 6 quid a day by not going to coffee shops. I haven't used a coffee shop in months...you do the maths.

Love the case
Love the case, the thermos, the cups and the design, unfortunately the coffee is terrible. inconsistent results and leaks. i really wanted to like this but there is a lot of mucking about to make an espresso and then the coffee doesn't infuse well and leaks out before you release the pressure.

Makes Coffee but a bit leaky
Beautifully packaged set in a very well made case. The flask has a temp gauge on the lid. It does tend to loose a little heat so will not make good coffee after about 3 hours. All flasks will do this though so cannot hold that against it.I find that it works best if preheated as the body of the water reservoir is a big lump of metal and will suck the heat out of the water otherwise. The cups are a little plasticky but I suppose that is to be expected in a travel set.I have found I can make pretty decent tasting coffee with a reasonable crema, not barrista standard but not bad.Where it is let down though is from leakage from the water chamber and out of the air operating valve push button spindle. Once the water chamber is filled a constant drip comes out of the spindle of the valve that is annoying and a bit messy. It does not seem to detract from the finished product too much but is annoying. also when the spindle is put to the vent position following the brew a not insignificant mist of water is sprayed out. I suspect dodgy seals which is disappointing after only 3 months use. That would prevent me from recommending this product to others.
