Took on trip to SF and was not dissapointed. Held my water bottle firmly and made walking and being a tourist easy. Recommended

When I saw a fellow traveler using one of these items, I knew that I had to have one. So, when I got home, I bought 5 and gave them to all of my traveling friends.While my fellow traveler uses a clip purchased from REI, I decided to try the Chums because I could buy them online & because they seem to be the same design as the REI clips (and, in my case, were slightly under the REI price). I chose the shorter tab because I didn't want a water bottle swinging against my leg too much.The Chums clips fit a smaller water battle head & it is a perfect accessory to carry when traveling. The clip hangs off of my shoulder pack & gives me a hands free experience, which allows me to carry my camera & take pictures without putting down a water bottle.I haven't used the Chums clip for an extended period of time. My REI chip friend told me that hers break after using multiple times, but that the clip is so useful & inexpensive, she considers it worth the costs/replacement.I have used the clip to hold a reusable plastic water bottle by clipping both the water bottle & my shoulder bag with the same clip (leaving the other end free) & this works too.

It's such a handy little gizmo that makes it easy to carry or attach an average-sized water bottle. I had several of them over the years and recently found it almost impossible to find them online. The part I don't like is the huge increase in price from when I first bought them. I have to make sure I don't

Product description reads "Sold as one unit. (1 unit = 30 each.)" which might lead you to believe you're getting 30 of these really, really cheap. You would be wrong. There is only one. I didn't really expect to get 30 for the price, but it aggravates me that some merchants are so careless with the descriptions. Thus, 3 stars.That said, this is pretty heavy-duty. The carabiner is large, larger than I expected, and quite substantial. I have trouble stretching the O-ring enough to get it on, so I can't imagine it will ever come off too easily. The only beef I have with the construction is that the bottom of the carabiner is notched, so that the short strap sits flat, instead of curving with the shape of the carabiner. Seemed like a good idea, until I realized the resulting small, sharp spurs can get caught on things. Like fingers, if you're not careful when installing the thing.The picture shows a slightly different carabiner, mine is a bit longer from the hinge to the bottom (where the strap goes), so maybe they won't all have the same problem.

This thing is really clever. I often use it when traveling when I don’t want to or can’t carry a regular water bottle all the time. After I go through airport security, I’ll buy a bottle of Pellegrino to take on the plane, attach it to the Chums, and then clip it to my computer bag. That way I don’t have to drink the crappy water they give you on the airplane.

"Chums" is an awesome brand of misc nylon products, over years I have used their billfolds and these perfect bottle holders!!!

My family is active, so the Chums Clip Bottle Holder seemed like it would come in handy when we're out and about. I like tthe design of the bottle holder and the colors we received. The holder is sturdy and well-made. Unfortunately, the rubber ring is difficult to get on the bottle, and my kids can't manage it by themselves.We honestly don't use these clips very much anymore because we are trying to reduce the amount of waste we generate and the Chums bottle holder only fits water/ soda bottles. It would be a big plus if it would fit standard aluminum water bottles.

The reason I am only giving this product 4 starts is because the rubber ring that holds the bottle broke on mine after 4 months. I was not a heaver user of the product, I only switched bottles on it 4 or 5 time, choosing use a reusable water bottle in most instances. Other than the problem with the O-Ring, I am very satisfied with the product. I love that the clip on it didn't get caught up on my purse handle or anything else I clipped it to.
