I bought this as a quick disconnect for my house/office keys. I bought a switchblade key organizer in addition to this because I always start my truck and forget something inevitably, so instead of having to kill the truck, now I can just quick disconnect and go inside. I was scared about the magnet because I didn't want to lose my keys, but it is STRONG. You aren't going to lose anything. It's small, portable, fit easily, makes my life so much better, and it's still holding up like 9 months later. Very well worth the few bucks.

I had another detachable key holder that required a push to release. It was both a little bothersome to detach and over time it became less secure and came apart in-use. The KeySmart MagConnect key holder is very secure and I have no worries of it wearing out as the dovetail has no moving parts to wear out. The magnetic hold keep the dovetail from sliding loose, but is easy to release. The holder itself is minimal in size so it does not add bulk to the keys and sturdy design holds up to hard use. A big upgrade for my key holder which I am very happy with and looking forward to years of use.

I was looking for something for my keys to the end of my wallet chain that I can operate with one hand. This does a pretty good job with a couple of caveats. First of all, since the ends that connect are shaped to slide into place, it’s easy enough to remove the keys but getting them back on requires two hands. Second of all, because my wallet chain is metal the “base” almost always sticks to the chain. That said, the magnet is strong enough that I can just hold my keys (a car key and two house keys) near the wallet chain and they’ll hang from there. Stays in place when I walk, but if it bumps into something or you run/jump they’ll fall off. Ideally, the two ends would be flat instead of sculpted to slide together.

The device is very useful to attach and remove auto fobs from key. As size of key fobs has increased, along with their weight, separation of keys from fobs makes a positive difference in my comfort level. Do note the magnets used to keep the two parts together. When separated and carrying in a pocket alone with a knife, for example, the magnets are strong enough to hold a knife and bring it along with the keys. Using the watch pocket on my jeans to separate the knife and key ring alleviated this minor problem.

This product is nice and compact, it has a cool design, and there are some aspects of it being magnetic that are OK. However, it is a little tricky to reconnect. The two parts and the magnets keep getting caught on the metal rings of the key chain. Price is good though.

I got this because my electric scooter needs a key to start, but I didn’t want the weight of my entire keychain hanging from it. Not good for the scooter and there is a chance you could lose your keys if something goes wrong. I love this setup because it is so easy to take on and off and it feels very secure. In the picture where the key is disconnected, the ends are pulling towards eachother, that’s how strong that little magnet it, plus it’s shaped like a puzzle piece and it locks in securely. I think it is the best of the quick disconnect keychain options.

It holds together in a pocket. It comes apart to lessen the strain on the ignition. It isnt as easy to reattach it in the dark, but thats alright because it is secure once u align it right.

I bought this magnetic device to make it more convenient to carry my locker key in my pocket at work. I prefer to leave my keys and my wallet in my locker at work. My first week owning this device my locker key fell off once. And for 7 months I didn’t have that problem again. The good news is I lost my locker key after work, so I have my keys and wallet. The bad news is my dirty scrubs that I take home at the end of the week are stuck in my locker because last night I somehow lost my locker key. It fell off my magnetic keychain. When I was issued my locker, I was told my workplace does not have a spare key. The good news is I can replace my missing keys, but it is going to cost me. I’m really disappointed. I don’t know how long it will take to replace the key and I am going to have to wash my scrubs frequently until my new key arrives. It only lasted 7 months before I permanently lost my locker key. I have to say I do not recommend this product.

Seit vielen Jahren habe ich daran einen kleinen Karabiner hängern, bisher hält er durch aber irgendwann wird das Teil brechen. Nach sicher 2 Stunden schauen auf Amazon wurde es dieses Ding, ich habe nur diesen bestellt und bin bisher zufrieden. Pro: - Recht platzsparend und dezent in der Optik (andere Lösungen sind teilweise größer) - Magnet bei mir ausreichend stark, die Verbindung hat sich bisher noch nie versehentlich gelöst (ich werfe den Schlüsselbund aber auch nicht durch die Gegend) --- Mein Autoschlüssel ist "keyless", also muss nicht im Schloss gedreht werden, aber auch beim Speren der Wohnungstür ist der Autoschlüssel noch nie abgeflogen - Die Verbindung erfolgt (zumindest in der wichtigsten Zugrichtung) formschlüssig, nicht magnetisch, der Magnet verhindert "nur" das seitliche Rausrutschen der Kupplung Neutral: - Ja, das Gehäuse ist aus Kunststoff, ist aber auch kein Schmuckstück Con: - Es ist schwierig / nicht möglich (zumindest mit meiner Feinmotorik), die Verbindung mit nur einer Hand herzustellen (trennen geht leichter), vor allem da die Magnete gern an den Schlüsselringen hängen, ob das ein gerechtfertigtes Minus ist muss jeder selbst entscheiden Ich habe keine anderen Produkte / Systeme von KeySmart, kann dazu also nix sagen. Summa summarum vergebe ich für den Preis 4/5 Sterne. Sollte das Ding länger ohne Mängel funktionieren erfolgt eventuell eine Aufwertung auf 5/5. Super strong magnetic, great quality, I carry forklift keys on a retractable keyring on a loop on my trousers, have jumped off and forgotten to remove the key from the ignition and broken the retractable keyring, this allows to to separate it from me if i remember or pulls apart when I don't. Had this around a year now without any issues.
