Can this be used if there is a solar cover ON the water? It may be covered so the floater may not float!?

Maybe I don’t have a solar cover or used the chemical floater yet but I think it will still float just the solar cover will have a lump on it where the floater is

How many tablets do you need in an large paddling pool?

Depends on what chemical tablets you buy as there is a wide variety and they all have different dosage rates

If u have one of these in ur pool do u still have to add ph

As I understand it you add ph to the correct level, then add the floater with chlorine tablet

Is this easier than adding chlorine granules?

You use this with the multi function tablets - these contain chlorine but also other things like algicide to keep the water clear. I use the tablets as it’s easier than remembering to add a daily dose of granules the tub, but also have some granules for shock dosing or if I need to raise the chlorine levels quickly.
