My first time using this on natural, black African hair (about an inch in length) and I love it! I spray my hair with water then use a leave in conditioner before using this sponge. It's super easy and the result is great! Really helpful to help me still feel feminine while growing my hair out after losing it to chemotherapy.

My sons loves this brush! My boys have different lengths of hair and it works great for both...just like the one their barber uses. They have natural curl to their hair already however wanted the look to be drastic with the twist.This sponge definitely works! Twisted his hair the very first use. He immediately used the brush to give him the "look" and it worked! I would have to say it worked a little to well- he used this product a couple of times a day! Not sure if that's what you are used to do but-he did! And his hair looked the same! So I would have to say it does the job! Just use gentle circular strokes and you can achieve perfect twists.Of course the more he uses it the more the dramatic his curls become. Plus he doesn't use with any product and it still works!!! Sometimes he does however finish off with a shine spray after he's done with the sponge. But this sponge also worked great with wet and dry hair. The twist can last about 3 days.The brush was kinda stiff as most sponges are when you first open them.I like it is thick and not flimsy. The included comb will gently remove tangles as it goes through the hair. So glad we bought this as my sons is super happy and loves they love their new look. Received fast and well packaged.
