LAMAZE Freddie the Firefly - Pram and Pushchair Newborn Sensory Toy

My 3mo has loved Freddie since she got him at 2mo. She loves that he jingles and crinkles and she easily grasps all of the rings and wings in her hands, as well as the dangling teether and little legs. There is so much for her to grab and play with in one toy and the noises are really helpful for her to recognise her motor skills in action. She obviously can’t press the squeaker but she enjoys the noise when we press it. The black and white pattern catches her attention and I love that it has this contrast as well as the bright colours. The different textures are also a nice touch and despite it being large comparable to her (she is a big baby at 6.9kg for 13 weeks), she gets a lot of enjoyment from handling it. Her eyes light up and her mouth opens when Freddie is brought out and she will happily watch him “flying” around and listen to the noises even when not playing with him herself. She absolutely adores this toy and I’m so glad I bought it. There is plenty for her to bite, chew and lick (her current favourite hobby) and I’ve since ordered two more Lamaze toys: Jacques and Captain Calamari. Can’t wait for her to enjoy them! She does have the puppy, which looks simple in comparison, but she loves to handle and lick the fabric, chew on the bone and crinkle and chew its ears. Great toys and very happy with the purchase. If someone I know has a baby, I will be getting them a Freddie the Firefly!

I bought this for my son for Christmas who was 2 months old at the time after seeing how much others have loved it. I was not disappointed. From the word go my baby loved this. The colours are so bright and my baby was instantly drawn to the big friendly eyes. All Lamaze soft toys have a plastic hook which is invaluable for attaching the toy to a variety of places. We've already attached the toy to the car seat, moses basket handles, supermarket trolley straps and the Lamaze gym - the possibilities are endless. Lots and lots for baby to discover - there are little mirrors hidden under a flap on one of the wings and a small teething disc attached and hiding in the pocket of another. The wings make that classic crinkle noise that babies love to make. There's a little squeaker in another wing and each wing is made from a different patterned and textured material. Haven't needed to wash this as yet but I don't forsee any problems in doing so. Sponge cleaning looks a doddle on this but to be honest I'd feel perfectly happy to stick it on a hand wash cycle in the washing machine. Overall this is a fantastic product, I cannot fault it, and I would recommend to anyone. And remember it's not a butterfly, it's a FIREFLY!

I ordered this for my daughter who was about 7 weeks old when it arrived, she's now 11 weeks. This toy has held her attention from day 1, the black and white pattern on the back of the wings kept her glued on it for ages. She's now starting to reach and hold toys, and again, this keeps her occupied for longer than any other toy she has. There are lots and lots of different colours and textures, it has a gentle jingling sound and a teething toy which fits in a little pocket on the underside of one of the wings. I can now appreciate why this has so many excellent reviews, and would, without hesitation add my full marks for it. I also bought one for a friend who had just had a baby, as it's so good for really young babies. The price on amazon is also a lot cheaper than the shops.

I will keep it brief: I bought this product due to the good reviews and best seller status it occupied. My 4mth year old is really getting into,mostly putting his mouth on every part and pulling it when its attached to his carry cot. Pros: very well made, great assortment of colours, many different noises, textures and shapes in a relatively small but well thought out package. Cons: the teether type item in the well designed pocket could have been slightly less firm and more inline with the shape of a young baby's mouth and the product could have had an adjustable strap so it could be attached to the baby's wrist of the handle section of a carry cot or above a sleeping cot. Overall: Very well made product that for quality is competitively priced and engaging for a young child, would definitely recommend it.

Lovely item from well known company to use as toy or attach to push chair. Lots of shapes and colors to keep baby interested

My little one loves these so much! When she was a newborn, she preferred the firefly. The back of the wings are black & white and she could look at them for ages!!! Now that she’s a few months, she loves pulling the legs , the teething bug & the circles at the bottom! The wings crinkle as well which my baby is all for right now. She prefers the Calamari over the firefly in general now because she loves to put his legs in her mouth! She likes to touch the circles at the bottom and the rattle ball! His hat makes a crinkle noise that she adores! The packaging is great and these make a fantastic baby shower gift! These are a great size! They’re much bigger than you’d expect so they keep your baby’s attention. The clips make it to where you can take these on the pram, on the car seat or little swing chair. This has provided so many hours of fun and learning for my baby when I needed her distracted! Overall I love these almost as much as my little one and would highly recommend them! overall it is a well thought toy with many functions, very stimulating and can keep baby occupied for a while. the best feature is that i can travel with this and it has a teething component attached to it, so i don't have to carry a separate teething toy with me!!! i would recommend this as a must have to parents who are on the go most of the time. It is a good size as well. another amazing feature is the high contrast black and white abstract print on one side, so it is great for newborns as well. this toy can be used over a wide age range which is another win win!!

This is so cute, and colourful, it’s perfect! Larger than I expected, very pleasantly surprised. Great value. I can’t express enough how good this is!

Love love love this toy. It is constantly attached to the car seat and it hasn't been long but baby constantly stares at it and all ita different patterns and colors. He is beginning to gum things and has been using the teething toy that conveniently tucks into one of the wings. The crinkle sound the wings make keeps his attention. I also love how one of the wings has a peek-a-boo mirror. I will say you can't throw it into the washer; it is spot clean only, but thats okay.
