The wood is kind of plasticised. It's some sort of hybrid wood fibre and plastic, which seems to make them a whole lot easier to sharpen as compared to other pencils I've used.

These are standard staedler pencils so you get quality straight out of the pack. Be aware that, when buying in bulk from this seller that they arrive loose in the bag. The result is that some needed resharpened straight away as some pencil tips had snapped and this made the pencils a bit dirty and scruffy in appearance. The seller is very clear about this so I knew what I was probably getting. That being said they are good quality, durable, hb pencils which sharpen easily and, bought this way, are value for money. 4 stars only because I had to resharpen a few.

Seit Jahren in der Werkstatt im Einsatz, beruflich und privat. Perfektes Produkt, nichts auszusetzen, tolle Qualität und dabei noch unschlagbar günstig. Bleistifte verschwinden bei mir wie Socken in der Waschmaschine... daher ist es immer gut, ein paar mehr am Start zu haben.

Indiscutibile la qualità di queste matite e il prezzo eccezionale... Potevano essere più attenti nell' imballaggio...un semplice sacchettino di plastica sottile che non ha impedito la rottura di alcune mine.
