Much cheaper than Thule alternatives. This is essentially a heavy-duty water-resistant rectangular bag with sturdy zippers. It is not rigid, but you can add some rigidity with cardboard on the inside if you want it. Works very well with the Thule tow hitch luggage rack - place the bag on the rack, put items inside starting with the biggest/heaviest, zip it up and then strap the whole thing to the rack. It won’t have a nice body shape unless you’ve completely filled it, but the construction is very sturdy so if you’ve strapped it down tightly it’ll hold everything inside in place. I didn’t have any leaks but if you’re expecting to be driving in heavy rain for a sustained period consider putting non-waterproof items into plastic bags as given long enough water will find a way to get in through any zipper.

This product worked well for us on the VW bike rack on our California, it’s not a sturdy box, more of a robust bag. It was great fir us as it’s just used for carrying bedding, awning gear and chairs and when on a camp site the bag folds up well. It proved to be waterproof as well as we went through torrential rain, we attached it with some ratchet straps as the one that came with it looked a bit flimsy, that could be just me wanting to be extra secure? Overall it suited our needs very well

I did elect to return this item but then changed my mind as I needed to use something at short notice. I later realised that this product looks nothing like the picture which depicts a box shaped item that has solid sides, well it doesn't it is just a bag, the sides don't stay up on their own and I had to get an additional board for the bottom to ensure a solid base. To add insult to injury I then found it £20 less from another seller on Amazon. Not sure they will accept it back now I've used it.

This was slightly too big for what we wanted but I felt too big was better than too small. That’s why I was surprised when on the second trip one of the straps ripped off and the zip ripped. Before this, on the first trip, the contents inside got wet. This will do as a storage bag for my camping equipment when not in use but as a hitch bag, it’s not great. One annoying feature is the lack of strap clips. It makes it very awkward to tie and secure the straps. I thought it would last more than 1 trip but then live and learn.

First of all, we are missing a strap. Second of all, this is basically just a big waterproof bag, not a vault. There are no hard panels on it what so ever nor is there any structure. Thirdly, you can not store anything of value in this bag as its minus 3 stars for security. Am I happy with this product? Absolutely not. False advertisement, nothing like the pictures, quality is crap and to be Frank, I'd sooner wrap my stuff in coop bags.

Used this on a long trip to the Florida Coast. Attached included straps worked perfectly to retain the carrier in its position despite weather and wind issues. Contents remained dry and right where they were put without any leakage or other issues. Would recommend this to anyone needing to secure a load outside their vehicle on a hitch tray. Great product and priced accordingly.

Très déçu. En voyant la photo on imagine bien une matière PVC. mais on imagine aussi une ossature rigide genre plastique ou plaque de contre plaqué fine. Mais non.. donc n'espérez pas le fixer sur une plateforme derrière le coffre. Ca ne ressemblera en rien à la photo. C'est juste un gros sac tout mou.

Nachtrag: Wie auf dem Bild zu sehen passt das Teil gut auf einen fahrradträger. Ich sage die Tasche ist spritzwasserdicht. Sind damit paar Stunden im Regen auf Autobahn gewesen. Es ist alles trocken geblieben. Also für unsere Zwecke ideal. Wie schon 100x mal beschrieben, handelt es sich um eine Tasche ohne Rahmen oder ähnliches. Wir haben uns eine günstige Auflagenbox (für Sitzauflagen) dazu gekauft. Passt perfekt. An den Seiten neben der Auflagenbox ist jeweils noch Platz für 3 schlafsäcke. Das ganze wird auf einem Fahrradträger per Gurte befestigt.Ob wasserdicht oder nicht, kann ich noch nicht beurteilen. Der Stoff ist auf jeden Fall sehr dick und sieht sehr robust und dicht aus.

Big capacity, but it isnt the dimensions specified. Also, the bag is not at all waterproof. Used it for the first time in the rain yesterday and everything inside was very wet after travelling for an hour in the rain. Was not impressed.
