We've made multiple orders of the 10lb and 20lb boxes and are extremely satisfied with the consistency and quality of Grandpa's orchard hay compared to Oxbow and Kaytee. Our search started when every other order of Oxbow's 9lb box came with mostly rough stems and older, overdried, yellow hay. Our two guinea pigs were rejecting over 50% of these lots, which led us to search for a new supplier. Grandpa's cuttings are greener, longer, softer, and likely considerably more nutritious. Their hay also lasts a lot longer since more of it is being eaten rather than being pulled to the side and rejected.Attached is a picture that shows a bagged version of Oxbow Orchard Hay (about as good a sample as it gets) compared to Grandpa's in the cardboard box. The difference in person is even more striking. We highly recommend this product based on all the important factors - price, quality, consistency, and approval from our piggies.

Honestly this is some of the nicest hay I've ordered so far. I started with 1 bunny, but then got involved with rescue, so now I house a house full of bunnies so I needed to purchase a larger quantity of hay. The colors nice and the pieces are literally the longest hay pieces in any order yet.

I’ve been buying this brand of hay for going on 5 years or more for my 3 rabbits. They are one of the few places I’ve found that sells hay in large quantities which allows me to buy it in 20 lb boxes at a time. They hay always seems like it’s good quality, nicely colored and smells good. My bunnies love it.

UPDATE* i received another box with even more of these sharp dangerous prickly things. I’m canceling my subscription and moving on to another brand. This isn’t acceptable and no one has contacted me about this.I ordered a small box, my last few boxes have been SO dusty I decided maybe a smaller box would be better quality. My box of hay is filled with these sharp prickly things in it that I do not feel safe feeding to my 7 Guinea pigs. I have spent an annoying amount of time picking them out so that they don’t accidentally eat them and hurt themselves. This is absolutely not okay and if my next box that arrives tonight contains any, I will be returning it and not purchasing again due to the inconsistency of the quality I always face when purchasing from this brand. My Guinea pigs are very important to me and their health and safety is my priority, as it should also be for this company selling hay to small animals.

I’ve ordered this hay twice and I’ve been very happy both times. The second time I ordered was after getting small pet select 3rd cut Timothy hay which was awful… order this, you and your bunny won’t be disappointed! My rabbit loves it and it’s not as allergenic as Timothy hay.

First time ordering from this place and highly likely not to again. I feel they could at least put it in a large bag to seal it up in its shipping box. Besides all the sticks among the hay, I found a grass I haven't been able to identify. I'm praying this stuff doesn't make my baby girl sick. There was also a lot of flower pods in the box, something I've never experienced with Oxbox.
