Valrhona Grand Cru Chocolate Assortment, 160g

Great French chocolate would highly recommend this brand of chocolate.

What I found fun about this selection was gradually working my way through the increasing cocoa content and finding my personal sweet spot of 66% for dark chocolate! Although I didn’t really like the highest percentage the one just below was lovely which surprised me. The whole experience opened my eyes to dark chocolate which I tend to avoid. I guess my tastes are broadening with age! It’s hard to explain what makes Valrhona special, you just have to try their chocolates for yourself.

Valrhona have some of the best tasting chocolate varieties, from 85 percent dark (bitter if you're not used to it, but less bitter than any other 85 percent chocolate I've tasted) to white chocolate. This assortment of 8 varieties is wonderful, with 4 of each kind separately wrapped. Portions are small (5g squares), but that's a plus because you get to savour each variety, without a portion so big you put on weight! :)

The chocolate was as described and very tasty but very expensive for €160g and I paid £25 .

Our favourite chocolate - unforgettable (as was our visit to the Cite de Chocolat in Tain Hermitage, south of Lyon.

Great service at a busy time of year, can't fault the product, expensive but quality chocolate and a perfect gift for a chocoholic !
