Are these discs printable ones

As far as i am aware, no they are not.

I’ve done 5/10 of the disc. all different ways. ways that work 1st try with every other blank disc. why does this disc not work for cars?

Perhaps your car has a CD player (that would be usual). A DVD player in a car would be unusual, possibly illegal. Even if you use a DVD+R DL to record audio only, it will announce itself to a player as a DVD+R DL. If the player cannot cope with a disc of that description, there will be no sound.
