CT1716 Universal Anti-Theft Car Steering Wheel Lock - Red

OK but not great. Yes it's not the most expensive item but you would still expect some kind of decency. First time applying to vehicle you could feel the metal bending. Very flimsy. Would not recommend for anything other then it "looks the part".

For the price cannot complain - it looks okay and you can tell is not the best quality but does the trick and is easy to lock without even using the key.To open you do have to place the key in a certain way but definitely acts as a deter-ant for thief's and i would buy again ass does the same job as a more expensive one just doesn't come with the name or build quality however i cant see how it could be removed by a burglar.

Thick rubber coating so it won't scratch your steering wheel and easy to fit on and off each time. Works on my Passat with multifunction wheel and feels like it would be difficult to remove without extreme force and damage being caused. I use mine to keep my car secure while engine running to de-ice on cold mornings. I'm sure there are stronger ones but I think in truth if you're a determined thief, they're all things you can get past. It should stop the casual opportunistic thief tho and it gives extra piece of mind. A good buy I think.

The main reason why I like this type of lock above all other types is its simplicity, speed and convenience in use. A similar lock I owned before had two prongs at each side. This one has only a single prong each way, which makes it all the easier to wrench it off the steering wheel. There is no need for that glaring red colour, either. Yellow would do fine, thank you.

As the crooks are getting more sophisticated electronically, some kind of a mechanical security lock makes perfect sense. This particular solution works really well.

I ignored the bad reviews and thought they were just on strange steering wheels. Well I was wrong, this is a solid item but it doesn't fit to modern steering wheels. The bar is completely straight so if your steering wheel has even the slightest bump higher than the rim of the wheel it won't fit at all. I accidentally forced mine on and my horn was on until I could unlock it and get it off! Oops. It's of no use to me anymore but I've taken the packaging apart so no chance of returning or refund. Oh well, at least it didn't cost too much!
