Sika Sikaflex 291i Multifunctional Adhesive Sealant for Marine Applications, White, 300 ml

Tube was easy to use in my application gun and spreads pretty good nice and smooth. Very messy for hands so ensure you wear gloves you can throw away after use. It glues well to your hands and taking 2 days to fade lol. But seems to have done a good job fixing both of my hatches down onto my kayak. Had a slight leak in the seals thought I'd fix it in readiness for next season. I read great reviews and this is mentioned as the best as its designed for boats and has resistance to salt water and fresh all good, the adhesion to plastic was reviewed as really good on other Google review sites not amazon by the way. I've water tested my kayak with water around the seal a good finish no leaks then I chucked z good size bucket of water as a sort of pressure test gave it a good dowsing of water all good no leaks ... I'd tell anyone to buy its worth the extra money. How long will it last hoping few years, plenty left in the tube. Drying time not on the tube but reviews on a Google search said 24 hrs mine was curing in few hours and after 16hrs I was water testing it so its decent. Just messy be prepared to get this stuff in places you didn't want it. I applied a bit too much and white spirits helped clean up a bit. You don't need loads on lesson learnt the second hatch I fitted to my kayak I used less and its sealed well be aware when you apply force if doing a kayak excess Sealand also goes inside the kayak so I got it on my arms and hands without realising it had gone inside kayak hatch rim lol. Enjoy using it havd gun and if fitting to a kayak hatch like me it's good buy it just take it from me less is better.. Next time thin the amount out on kayak lip... im not a robot really used this gloop highly recommend if you need eater tight. Kev

Sika is good stuff in the marine world

Thought this was really decent, time will tell if it’s any good from a longevity perspective, but I need a product to hold the some aco drains together especially as the builder decided to silicone some corners together. I feel like most builders best friend is silicone. It literally is their answer to most adhesions challenges. I digress, but seriously this felt like a really good, thick product. I removed all the silicone and effectively glued everything back together using this. It’s now been 3 weeks and everything still remains decent.

I have been using this product for over 20 years, it does a good job and I would not buy another product.

Used to seal on some fixings to a transom...good stuff

I bought this for my kayak, the dry hatches were leaking badly as the seals were original in places and repaired in others with bathroom silicone. After some elbow grease the hatch's were resealed and water thight. Delighted with the sealant. The pros Easy to use Seals to PE plastic and dense foam in kayaks No fumes or bad smells Cons You will need a silicon gun (borrow from a friend, like I did). If it gets onto skin it's a divel to get off.
