Concentrated Restorative Treatment.
This very expensive, fragrant, jar packaged ‘Concentrated Restorative Treatment’ from Perricone MD contains a lot of skin restoring antioxidant vitamin C along with the amino acid L-tyrosine. It also contains some other very good antioxidants like green tea, and vitamin E, with water binding ingredients and soothing bisabolol and allantoin, along with skin restoring sodium hyaluronate. It does contain exfoliating glycolic acid, but it’s not the main player here. It does also contain a small amount of added fragrance, which could be an issue if you have extra sensitive skin, but what really lets this very good antioxidant rich formula down is the unhygienic jar packaging. Why Jar Packaging Is A Problem.Good modern skin care formulations include antioxidants, cell-communicating and skin-repairing ingredients. However, you won’t get the benefits of these ingredients to your skin if the product you are using comes in a jar. This is because these ingredients are not stable, which means they won't be effective if regularly exposed to light and air, which is exactly what happens when you take the lid off and on a jar. Hygiene is, of course, another issue; dipping your fingers or a spatula into a jar transfers bacteria into the product, which also causes the important ingredients to further deteriorate, making them less effective. Skincare products really need to be in an opaque tube or airless sealed pump dispenser, particularly at this price point. Heals Rosacea
The jury is still out on whether this works very well on wrinkles. It did shrink the pores on my nose. Thanks to a recommendation from a friend, and the fact that the book "You: Being Beautiful" recommends topical vitamin C as one of the treatments for rosacea, I'm using this to heal me of this horrible skin condition. It's working just fine. Pustules, crustiness, redness are all gone. My skin is nicely smooth and evenly toned. Gets a little pink if I'm out in the sun for several hours, but at high altitudes where I live, this is common.I use this morning and night after I wash my face with a gentle, plain soap. I suggest not using antibiotic soap for the whole point of using this was to get away from all the antibiotics the dermatologist had me on (after years, their effectiveness depleted and the dosage just kept getting higher and higher, not a healthy thing to be on for years. I no longer have to use them.)In the morning, make sure you apply a sunscreen over the cream, as sunlight destroys the effectiveness of vitamin C. I use a very light film of Neutrogena's spectrum+ face sunblock spf 100 (the 100 will change to a lower number in 2012 thanks to the govt. forcing all sunblocks to have a more truthful number). At night, after gently washing one's face, apply this restorative treatment again without the sunblock. I imagine using a lotion/topical of vitamin C without the dmae might work just as well, as Roizen & Oz suggest in their books, and I may experiment in the future to find one that's less expensive than this. But as I said, the different forms of vitamin C in this work fine for me and has completely removed the appearance of rosacea from my complexion within three months. I don't have to use makeup anymore to hide any redness. I'm no longer rosy.

Man kriegt nicht immer was man bestellt
