Are these electrostatic?

No, I don't think they are. I have had a pair of electrostatic headphones in the past, a Jecklin Float. The Monolith have a far better bass reproduction, the Jecklin's had a poor bass reproduction. So I would suspect that the Monolith are not electrostatic. All I do know is that they sound great. These are the best headphones I have ever brought. Hope this helps.

Are these using the 2.5mm jack or the mmcx connectors pictured?

Mine received in UK from Amazon US (Amazon Global) last week and were indeed Rev2 with 2.5mm jacks.
