To summarise: if you have not tried any "东北大米” rice (translated to Rice From Northeast China, RFNC), I say try it and you won't be disappointed. Born and raised in China, I have been living in the UK for more than 10 years, having the chance to try a lot of different rice "breeds", I think the RFNC is still among the best. The RFNC type has large and short body, compared to the popular Jasmine rice, less fragrant but better texture in my opinion. From my knowledge, rice can be harvested once, twice or even three times every year. It will depend on the region where the rice is produced, the colder the climate is, the less it will be harvested. The RFNC breed is normally produced in cold climate, so it takes longer to be harvested. I think this is one of the reasons why it has one of the best taste and texture. Although this product is labelled as sushi rice, it can also be used for normal way of cooking rice, i.e. with rice cooker. Finally it is time to cook some rice, with rice cooker of course. :)

My first time using this rice and i'm more than pleasantly surprised. It rinses quicker, cooks quicker and tastes wonderful. It has the consistency of cous cous when cooked but without the aroma of cc, which i'm not a fan of. It had a lovely texture and taste. It goes well with curry, I use it For fried rice, boiled rice. Basically I use this rice For any rice fish except risotto or sweet rice but I think it would work For a pudding rice as I recently saw sweet coconut rice as a dessert advertised in a local malls eating area. For the price it is really good value. Less water is needed in cooking and 15 mins is sufficient. It forks up nice and fluffy and takes on the flavour of whatever you choose to accompany it with. Anyway, my chops with May-Ploy yellow curry paste are smelling like they're cooked, so i'll wish you all bon appetite and stay safe.

Really great quality rice, good for all types of meals not just for asian Best cooked in a rice cooker for perfect steamed rice and very economical in this climate too Would recommend, buy 2 bags of this per year and you will be fine

Ordered once after it back to stock, price gone up, and I found it lost a bit of the nice fragrance when it being cooked, tastes not as good as before. Please please keep the quality and I will try again. ———-previous review—————-👇 So far it is the best balance of value&taste I can find in the UK. Few tips to make the rice tastes nicer: 1. Wash your rice until the water becomes clear-ish each time before put in the rice cooker. 2. Water portion is important to the result but each cooker has different temper. 3.pressure cooker( electrionic or traditional) will do better job than normal rice cooker. 4. When the cook is done, keep it for few minutes and then turn off the power and wait for around 1minute before open the lid/cap. 4. If you like egg fried rice, it is suggested that using the overnight cooked rice would keep a springy but/yet firm texture than newly cooked rice.

Great sushi rice, grown in Italy (according to the packet) and cooks really well. Rinse well, follow the instructions on the packet and you get very consistent results; it makes excellent fried rice if used the following day from the fridge.

Since I missed Japanese rice I bought this. It was reasonable but not very good than I expected. Not as sweet as Japanese cheapest rice. Texture is sticky, but taste is felt just as same as Jasmine rice without flavor. It was Ok for the reasonable price, but I might not repeat.
