Just The Job
To facilitate the laying of a new carpet my son and I mauled a very heavy upright piano from one room to another. We also had to be really careful so that the piano's castors didn't cause any floor damage. Needless to say a huge physical effort was required with the job seemingly going on forever. Not recommended for someone aged 67 like myself! Anyway, we both concluded that we needed to find a much better solution for the piano's return journey so we took a punt on this roller base. It looked too good to be true for the price but I thought that it had to be worth a go. So I ordered it with next day delivery and it actually arrived whilst the carpet fitter was still laying the new carpet. Well, I have to say it worked an absolute treat with the return piano journey being effortless and only taking a minute or so. The roller base took all of the weight and survived the journey totally intact. Highly recommended for this type of job. Bit of an effort getting the piano onto the base, a three person job, but thereafter its a smooth and easy ride.

A great roller......
Bought two of these for the specific purpose of attaching them to the bottom of our settee in order to move it around when decorating our lounge. The settee is very heavy (a large two-seater) but attaching one to each end has done the job - it moves with ease. Plus, the wife and I can still sit on it (and even move it around, sat on it) with no problems at all. The rollers are sturdy and well-made. I did consider a cheaper option but, having read reviews of the cheaper option, I was pleased that I bought these rollers instead. Once finished with the decorating, the rollers will get used for other moving-around tasks. I will know I can use them for heavy objects if required. If I needed further rollers I would not hesitate in buying the same again.

A great piece of kit !
Having trawled numerous sites to find something I could use to move our American fridge freezer and reading the multitude of reviews of the different items, most were not good, I came upon this item...and so glad I did. A really good sturdy piece of kit and was able to move the fridge, washing machines and heavy oak sideboard with relative ease. The six wheels means the load is evenly distributed and therefore didn't make any marks on our flooring. Well worth the money !

Simple, strong, very useful
We bought this for our house move and beyond and have been delighted with it. It moved everything including a washing machine and upright piano. With six 360-degree wheels it glides along and is not stopped by small obstacles. Now, post-move, it is one of those tools that is so useful when you need it. Furniture and flat pack deliveries at the door, for example, have been a breeze with the trolley. It is probably not for sustained outdoor all-weather use and I found it worthwhile to sand down the edges but I agree with another reviewer: it stows easily and is immensely useful.

Great tool for moving a piano !
Taking the piano out of the room was a struggle................. and took ages. I googled how to move a piano and sent off for the roller. It came within a couple of days We have just moved the piano back in less than one minute! My husband lifted up one end and I slid the roller in. It was so easy to wheel it back over the new carpet. It s an amazing tool . Very sturdy and well made.. ! Would highly recommend for moving a piano and no doubt will come in handy again.

Well built but didn't cope with a piano.
This is undoubtedly a very useful roller for moving heavy items, however the 300kg maximum is a bit optimistic. Moving a 200-250kg piano caused the plastic centres of the wheels to deform through 90 degrees rendering 3 of the wheels completely unusable. If the wheels had metal centres I have no doubt that this could easily handle the stated 300kg as it is a sturdy deck and with a wheel upgrade I would definitely buy again. So if you are looking for something to move white goods around or heavy pieces of furniture this is a good choice but beware of heavier objects. Top marks to Amazon for a no fuss refund.

Sturdy and easy to manoeuvre
I chose this item after reading the disappointing reviews of a number of different Transport Rollers and am pleased with its quality and ease of use. I am now able to move bulky and heavy objects by myself easily. I am very happy to recommend this Transport Roller to others and am thinking about buying a second one myself.

Fell apart when loaded with 80kg
Initially we were quite happy with the product, moved a 65kg load along the pavement fine for a couple of times, and the manoeuvrability was very good. This item was supposed to be rated for a max load of 300kg! However when loaded it with 80kg load on the third use, one of the middle wheel broke, and the ball bearing fell apart. We continued to use it for a much smaller load of approx 40kg, then after 15 trips two more wheels fell off and became unusable.
