Fantastic - it arrived well packed, and I followed the instructions to run it under water before placing it in my tank. As soon as I placed it in my tank, the shrimp were all over it, clearly loving the outer layer. I could start to see signs of life the very next day, and by day 6 I have leaves starting to be visible, and very clear new roots. I dose 2 pumps of plant fertiliser a day. The first photo is today, on day 6, the second photo was how it looked after the shrimp had been nomming on the outer layer on day 1. (I did change its position in the tank on day 3 so it was getting more light). I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks in a month or so!!!

after having bought 4 of theses bulbs over a few months which are small and not one sprouted,if you like too throw your money away,? then this product is for you.

Absolutely fantastic! This plant grows like mad! We just plopped it in on the 23rd of April(As shown in the first two pictures, these are just overall tank pictures, we didn't expect it to grow so fast, or I would have done a day by day as it is so interesting!) The third picture (where it looks like an alien crawling along the tank) was six days later! The last two pictures are from today, (17th May) A few of my snails have tried very, very hard to eat it, and we have Columbian Ramshorn Snails that tend to destroy plants in a short time. (Which is why that one plant is covered, whilst we move these guys into a different tank with plants we don't mind them decimating on the daily.) As you can see, it is growing very well. You read that correctly. This is 24 days of growth. Our tank is still cycling. It has only been up and running for those 24 days. If you are planning on buying this, it is a lovely plant, will grow nicely for you, it will strive to reach the surface where it will flower if it does so. Get that flower out before it begins to wilt. Unless you want lots of them. It has a second method of propagation; as it is a bulb, it can split! As the recommendation is just to drop the bulb in, not bury it, you can see the bulb. So, if you don't want more, keep an eye on it. (Which I am quite looking forward to seeing tbh.) For optimal growth - This plant likes 22c to 27c temperature water. We also use a liquid fertiliser, specifically with iron. (We use API Leaf Zone, the iron is vital for vibrant red leaves.) And a liquid Co2 booster if you don't have a co2 system. (Again, we use API Co2.)

Absolutely brilliant, I wasn't expecting much looking at the bulb but after a few weeks a lovely red plant that just keeps on growing and sprouting, highly recommend and if you take care of them they just keep on giving

When the bulb arrived I has reservations about whether it would do anything, and for a while it sat in the bottom of my tank doing nothing. About two weeks later some tiny little sprouts started to appear. I have had it maybe two-three months now and its a gorgeous plant! It grows so well and looks beautiful in my tank, the only reason this gets 4 stars and not five is that the plant is green. I dont know if the leaves would go red with less lighting or a c02 setup, but this wasn't explained to me so ? The plant is still stunning, the leaves have an irridescent quality to them and the fish and critters love swimming through it as it waves in the slight current of my tank. One of my favourite plants in my tanks so far.

No instructions on how to plant this within the tank

Started to grow really fast. Only a few months and the little bulb with no visible growth to fast growing, amazing colour leaves will be buying more.

Not sure about theses ones, have bought before for another tank these ones though are a lot smaller than the others ( really small) feel a lot harder to the touch more like stones except with roots. Previous ones ive bought were difficult to stop floating without weights which was to be expected, these one's however did not float. The others showed signs of growth within days these after a week show no sign whatsoever

Ho acquistato la pianta 2 volte. La prima, acquistata a inizio marzo, ha ancora solo un germoglietto appena visibile. Nel secondo ordine, a metà aprile, ne ho presi due, quelli che vedete in foto. Il primo è arrivato solo con un piccolo accenno di germoglio, i due successivi sono arrivati con la piantina che aveva 2-3 foglioline e subito si sono sviluppati! A questo punto penso che il problema evidenziato dagli altri (e anche da me nel primo ordine) sia dovuto al periodo di acquisto, magari il venditore le coltiva all'aperto e risentono dell'andamento stagionale...
