This is great.It's is very maliable and you can get any angle from it. The grip will fit pretty much any phone too.It would be better if you could extend it out a little further as sometimes it's difficult to hide the base out of shot.It does take some strengh to firm the joints and stop it slowly moving when you film.It's overall a good design and good materials.Worth the money.

I was going to get another stand that was $20, but I read the reviews here of the people who bought a cheap one, and then eventually they came here for the quality one. So, I took a leap and bought this one first.Wow, I'm so glad I did!!! Here are some comments about how it works (for video-ing newbies like me).Btw, I'm not getting paid to leave this review. I'm just a regular girl who bought this. I don't even know without looking who makes this. (I'm saying these things since you can never be too sure these days.)Okay, here's my opinion:1. The setup is super simple. Just 4 steps, and no tools required. If you are going to use this for your phone, I figured out that you can skip step 3 because it's already setup for a phone (there's an adapter for things other than a phone).2. It's very sturdy. Some people complained in their reviews that the stand gets in the video. Anyone who says that doesn't understand all the ways this contraption can be positioned.The telescoping pole goes way up high if you want. It's nuts. Plus, the ball joint thingies move all over the place, and then you tighten them when you get them in the position you want. It's totally brilliant.The only way you'd get the stand in the frame is if you don't take 10 seconds to adjust it.3. It's heavy. The base isn't going to fall over. Some people said in their reviews that it tipped over. Either they were leaving a review for the wrong thing, or they hooked up some super heavy professional camera to this thing.If you are using it with phone, there's no way it's going to tip over. It's way to heavy for that.4. It holds the phone securely. You won't have to worry about your phone falling out. The grip is very tight. I have to use 2 hands to open it and get my phone in there. The spring that holds it in grips it like a vice. There's no way it's falling out.5. The fact that this has a wide base so you can set it anywhere is so much better than the cheapy ones that have to screw onto a table. Again, mucho versatility.This one is a little pricey, but imho, it's worth every penny!!!This stand + the Open Camera app + a lavalier microphone = #winningOmg, my videos look sooooo good!!!Thank you!!! 🎉🥳

I use it for filming cooking. It’s well built but not smooth to operate (too many parts)I would highly recommend it if most of your filming needs are from a single angle or position. Good material
