Fantastic film, better than others, beautiful effect for any colour scheme, no pattern match required
Fantastic window film, I love it. Very easy to cut and work with and is applied in minutes, it is very pliable unlike some others, the best way is to make a template (I used cardboard but thick paper would do) and mark around the edge of the film on the backing with a marker as once backing is peeled off it is difficult to cut once this is removed if the sizing needs adjusting, not impossible but a lot more difficult.. Don't forget to remove the clear backing as it will not stick, this is clear as is the film so can easily be missed. As other reviewers on opening the film it looks completely clear, however once on the window it gives a fantastic effect of shimmering colours especially in the sun. Colours are very clearly seen but very subtle, very clean looking. Matches any colour scheme. To attach you just spray the window with water, a fine mist does the job nicely, then apply the film which is easily moved into position due to the water behind, you do need a small squeegee type tool (not supplied) to remove the air bubbles. Another bonus of this is it does not have any shrinkage once the back is dry, I recently purchased another make and overnight it had shrunk leaving about a 3mm gap all the way round which ruined the look and after paying £25.00 it had to be binned (more disappointed as it had less film than this one). This is excellent value for money. Out of this roll I got 4 standard 9"x31" top windows, one 10"x35" top window and a half window panel on the door window 21"x35", all in single pieces due to the generous width of this, this had to be with no mistakes as very little left (about a strip 4"x 35". As this has no defined pattern match required there is no wastage and can cover a wider area due to this. It looks exactly the same no matter if it is hung length ways or vertical.

Frosted adhesive for windows
I have used this on a small window at the rear of our garage. It is a wonderful way of obscuring the contents of a room without having to hang curtains or blinds. It is really convenient for places like sheds or garages, especially if the contents are visable from the road/street. It also looks nice and tidy too. This is easy to apply and is sticky so you need to be careful when applying it to the window. Make sure the window is clean and dry and then if possible have one person holding the roll while you press it down on the window. I am thinking of using this on the upstairs bathroom window as it would add more privacy. It is a cheap way of decorating a window too and looks great. It is especially convenient if the window is small and you don't need to join it up or line it up. The dimensions are 2 x 6.5 foot. I would recommend this as a really great item and useful too.

Beautiful rainbow effect & easy enough to install
Bought this for a large velux window to give some privacy cross the bottom of the window from the overlooking neighbours. A bit tricky to cut to size without grid lines as other reviews have said, but used masking tape to hang in position before fitting by myself & it came out really well. Looks really lovely & subtle pattern gives lovely rainbow colours when the sun shines on it. Have used a hair dryer to stop the outer edges from curling & looks pretty secure apart from one stubborn edge! Plus I have enough left to use on another window. Wouldn’t use on a bathroom as doesn’t give full privacy but ideal for rooms where you still want to let lots of light in whilst giving you adequate screening.

Dog proof window dressing
I wanted something to cover my front window which is 234 cms wide so it's big. Our big rescue dog had destroyed 2 sets of vertical blinds leaving dirty muddy paw prints on ripped blinds. I needed to stop folk from looking in, stop big dog from barking at every living thing that passes but not block out all the light. I want sure about this film as it isn't expensive and I was sure it would fall off. But even if it just lasted over Christmas it would do for now. But it's brilliant and looks great! I struggled as I did it by myself and could have done with an extra pair of hands but that was only due to the size of my window. I cleaned the inside of the window then applied warm soapy water. I started at the top left and partly removed the backing film. I got some really strong tape and temporarily taped the other end to the window to take the weight (extra hands needed here) I used a long steel ruler and craft knife to roughly cut the film to size then removed the rest of the backing paper while using a rubber squeedgy i smoothed out the bubbles. The tape wasn't needed anymore so removed that. I cut it more accurately again using the rule and craft knife and went over with the squeedgy. I had a few bubbles when the warm water dried but they smoothed out. It looks great. The dog can only see shapes so doesn't bark as much..altho he can see me coming in wearing my orange hi viz work fleece! No more tatty blinds. I would recommend getting someone to help if using on a large window but if you don't rush putting it on it can look really good. If it doesn't stick peel back and put more water on.

Beautiful and effective
Easy to place and easy to remove - great value. It's been great for keeping the dogs from barking their heads off at every passerby and provides the perfect amount of privacy while allowing natural light in.

The little rainbows makes it so worth it!
I live on the first floor apartment with my sliding glass door facing the main walkway. So I bought this so people can’t see in my apartment, but I was still able to get the light to come through. This was a perfect solution! I get these super cute rainbows all over when the light hits it directly, and I will get all the natural light without people being able to see in. I got a kit from my local hardware store that had a cutter, adhesive solution I sprayed on my windows, and a squeegee thing to get the bubbles and extra solution off; the extra kit wasn’t needed but it made it so much easier. When I was installing this, it was super easy once I was able to get it going. I recommend using tape to hold the top in place while you work your way down, but once the top actually stuck to the window the application was easy. My only complaint is the bottom was having a harder time adhering to the wonder and was curling up from the memory of being rolled up. I did leave a little bit of tape along the bottom to help with the little bit of curling. Other than that, I want to put this on all my windows!

What a change of scenery!
I have needed to figure out a way to get more natural light into my livingroom so when the weather cools, I can still get decent light on my succulent plants that can't be outside during winter. My livingroom window faces a common area and sidewalk in our complex and I've had dark blackout curtains up for privacy as well as economic purposes during extreme cold/hot weather, for 4 years. I'm glad I stumbled across this item. Our privacy needs are met, as you can see, from the side by side pic of one window with the cover and the other without. I am quite fond of the whimsical rainbow that comes through. That was a key component of choosing this covering because it is very aestheticly pleasing. As far as the economic aspect of this product, I won't really be able to judge that for a while. I will follow up with details on how it handles any hot weather we have left, and as well as how it holds up to much cooler temps. I live in a region that can experience 32° at night and 80° during the day when it's summer, and our winter can have times of waaaaay below freezing temperatures, sometimes even subzero. This is going to be my biggest expectation from this product. It's a different material all together from the economic blackout curtains, and I don't expect it to perform like those, but I'm hoping it at least helps regulate temperature, somewhat. The most difficult part of installation was cutting it to fit the size of my windows, and that was due to me making it more difficult than it truly was, and is absolutely no reflection of the product itself. I was running on 2 hours sleep, and I have an appreciation for measuring 2 or 3 times before cutting so it took me 3 times as long to measure and cut the first roll, compared to the second roll. Having a second pair of hands would have sped up the process, but it was very easy to apply to the windows on my own. Warm, soapy water is key! I used an old gift card to rub out air bubbles and smooth the whole surface. Overall, so far, I LOVE the transformation! My livingroom seems to be a whole new room, and I am very pleased!
