Hi i need to replace an old imperial 18" x 24" cast iron cover, the frame is still ok so will this just fit straight in? Thanks

It is not possible to replace a cast iron LID with a galvanised Iron LID.Standard practice is to remove the cast iron frame and install a complete new galv cover and frame.If you chose the correct weighting galvanised is adequate.They are available in 2.5,5,10,25 ton from stockRay @ EEZY Plumbing

Can the frame be screwed down? Want to screw the frame down on concrete but the ad doesn't show frame pics

It's a plastic frame and doesn't have pre-drilled holes. You could drill some yourself but the frame isn't thick enough to countersink screws let alone hefty bolts. I cemented my frame into place. The drain is in my garden, surrounded variously by lawn, earth and concrete. It's holding well but wouldn't cope with having anything driven over it. Since it's only a pedestrian cover this is not a problem. The heaviest thing it has to cope with is a small terrier.
