This ramp is a real lifesaver for my ageing spaniel. He is a fairly big dog (27kg), so he's too big for me to lift in and out of the car (also, I did already mention that he's a spaniel, so he always ends up soaking wet and covered in mud!) I have quite a high 4x4, which he finds difficult to jump into, and I always worry about his shoulder joints when he jumps out. Due to the height of the back of my car, the ramp is quite steep, however I have an old tatty piece of VetBed which I have attached to the surface of the ramp with high bond velcro, and this helps him to get a good grip on the steep incline. This probably would not be required on a lower car, as there is a non slip, sandpapery surface on the ramp. The top end of the ramp has a nice flat ledge to lay onto the boot of the car, and I've never had any problems with the ramp moving while in use. I have a crate in the back of my car for the dog and this ramp folds in half and fits ever so neatly down the side of the crate, leaving room on top for shopping or luggage if necessary. I had toyed with the idea of getting a ramp for a few months as I wasn't sure how my dog would take to it, but at this price I thought it was worth a go, however he took to it immediately and we've not looked back since :)

I was a bit unsure about ordering this as it is far cheaper than some ramps but it has proved to be quite a surprise. It is light to carry and easy to fold out, but sturdy enough for our labrador (approx. 28 kilos). It stays in place well and doesn't really rock when the dog is climbing in. One downside is the black material that is attached to the plastic - I assume it is there to provide grip but it still seemed very slippy and our dog did not like it. I resolved the problem by gluing on 2 small strips of cheap astroturf that we had left in the shed and, as the dog is used to it in the garden, he seemed much more comfortable climbing in and out of the car boot. Overall, I would recommend as a good low-priced solution but beware the black material as it is like sandpaper and larger dogs would probably struggle without some other type of material placed over the top.

I ordered this ramp for my nine year old Labrador who is starting to suffer a bit from arthritis in his front leg. The ramp arrived in time and was well packaged and it is very sturdy. It took a few days for him to get used to it and we started doing it little by little. We left it on the floor for him to walk over it to get used to the feel of it. It has a non slip surface and is quite rough and it took a wee while for him to get used to this. He is now quite happy to use it and it has made a big difference to him as he no longer has to jump in and out of the car. It is very sturdy and takes his weight no problem. It is quite light and very easy to use. It folds in half and is easy enough to store in the car. I would recommend this product especially for older dogs who may have a bit of trouble getting in and out of the car.

The ramp arrived very promptly and was well boxed. However when unpacked the ramp is not the same as advertised and indeed not the same as on the box picture containing the ramp. It is supposed to have a 'sand paper like' covering, (which other reviews state, tears very easily)' also unlike the pictures, it has a series of ridges to help the dog grip as he climbs the ramp. So why am I keeping the ramp? It is well made and very sturdy and as other reviewers suggest I think I will be covering the climb in carpet for better grip. So I hope my dog will use it!

I have an elderly 30kg Labrador and needed a stable, portable ramp for the car. This product is a great combination of lightweight and robust, it's solid, not flimsy at all and folds to a very manageable size. It's worth taking some time to train the dog to use it on the flat first because it obviously feels a bit strange but mine has taken to it very well. If I have any criticisms, for my particular breed (and her stiff old lady legs at the corners of her square body!) the walkway is only just wide enough for her to comfortably place her paws on it and the anti-slip coating on the walkway is - bizarrely - a bit slippery. Both of these issues can be easily sorted - my dog will learn how to place her feet in time and I'm going to glue on some old carpet as buyers have mentioned in other reviews. This is a good ramp and worth its money.

Good sturdy quality, it takes up quite a lot of room in the boot, I think I was expecting it to fold smaller. We have only had it a few days, our puppy is a bit wary of it, it takes a bit of coaxing, hopefully it becomes a bit easier. Four weeks on and a different car, old car was a Volvo XC60 dog basket and ramp fitted in boot. New car is a Freelander. Ramp doesn’t fit as well as th basket (big dog) so goes on back seat. Dog is much happier using it. Have to lean by it to stop it moving. If dog reluctant to go up it I give him a bit of a nudge up to get him moving. Update. My puppy reached 40kg which is the the maximum for this ramp, in hindsight I should have got one for 60kg,so today the inevitable happened. It collapsed whilst the dog was using it. Luckily he was almost up so we managed to push him up further. I’ve spent all day encouraging him to jump into our Freelander and think I may now be ramp free. Still worth the price even though it was for a few months. Next time I’ll buy one that folds into a box so storage in the car is easier.

We have a medium-sized Labradoodle dog and got a Daihatsu Terios 4x4. We had been using an upturned large plastic crate with carpet fixed to the bottom as a 'step' but she has recently had an operation (back knee cruciate ligament TPLO op. which involves cutting the bone and pinning it with a plate and screws) so we had to try a ramp instead. This ramp is good, and I would recommend it, subject to the following two things to be aware of: 1. like many plastic items these days, when it first arrives the cut edges of the plastic at the back of the ramp are sharp. I went over all the edges with a file to smooth them off to avoid finger cuts when in use. 2. Ideally you need two people. It's quite hard for one person to do all the necessary jobs: get the car doors open, get the ramp out, open and in position, whilst also holding the dog back from leaping in or charging up the ramp. Once inside you have to take away the ramp, get the door shut and put the ramp back behind the driver's seat. Getting the dog out again is similar, but this time you have to hang on to the dog, while you fold up the ramp and get it back inside the car. One person can do it, but must be strong enough to lift the ramp mostly with one arm, and hold the dog with the other arm. (A behavioural point: our dog was used to always leaping up into the car, even when using the upturned crate, so training her not to leap up the ramp has been hard. Coming down she will happily walk slowly, but getting in she will always try to leap -especially if people are getting in the car and she thinks she might get left behind! :) )

The ramp has proved to be a great bonus for our dog walks. Our families dogs adapted to it after a couple of goes and now prefer this method of access to the car boot as do we in avoiding manhandling into our SUV. We have 25 kg large terriers and my son's Newfoundland has also used it. The ramp is light unlike many others but robust and is easy to stow after use. Other dog walkers have commented on the ease of use and how light the ramp is to handle. I would recommend this product for you and your dog. It has made dog walks a much more pleasant experience.

Bu rampa sayesinde belimi zorlamadan köpeğimi arabaya bindirebiliyorum. Yaşlı bir köpeğiniz varsa ve kaldıramıyorsanız çok faydalı bir ürün, tavsiye ederim. (Arabam yüksek jip değil, alçak stationwagon. Rampanın eğimi normal. Ama yüksek jipte kullanırken eğim dikleşecektir, bunu da göz önünde bulundurun.)

Die Lieferung erfolgte zügig und war gut eingepackt. Als ich die Rampe dann ausgepackt habe, habe ich zunächst einen Schreck bekommen, wie schmal das Teil tatsächlich ist. Die Maße sind zwar angegeben, aber man macht sich in der Realität keine Vorstellung, wie schmal 40 cm tatsächlich sind. Ich habe also gleich gedacht, da geht mein ausgewachsener Maremmano-Rüde niemals rüber, ein Retriever vielleicht, aber größer nicht. Ich habe dann wirklich ganz langsam angefangen, ihn an das Ding zu gewöhnen. Also erst einmal flach auf den Boden gelegt und Leckerchen darauf verteilt. Die hat er sich natürlich runtergeholt, ohne die Rampe zu betreten... Als nächstes habe ich ihn dann nach und nach darüber geführt, wobei er am Anfang immer mit irgendeinem Bein nicht auf der Rampe war. Dies habe ich so lange geübt, bis er zuverlässig vollständig mit allen 4 Pfoten von vorne bis hinten über die Rampe gelaufen ist. Anschließend habe ich die Rampe auf drei Treppen gelegt, sodass der Winkel nicht ganz so steil ist. Auch hier wieder trainiert, bis er zuverlässig rauf und runter gelaufen ist, wobei das Runterlaufen schwieriger war, weil er zum Schluss immer gesprungen ist. Aber das sollte er ja gerade nicht, weil er ein paar Tage vorher gehumpelt hat; weshalb ich die Rampe ja überhaupt nur gekauft habe, um seine Gelenke zu schonen und weil ich den Hund mit seinen 50 Kg nicht ins Auto heben kann, wenn er mal nicht springen kann. Erst, als er auch diese Übung verstanden hat, habe ich die Rampe dann ans Auto gestellt. Bei dieser Länge ist es schon sehr steil (bei einem Roomster) und es hat sich nun ausgezahlt, dass ich mir mit der Übung soviel Zeit (ca. 1 Woche) gelassen habe. Er geht nun zuverlässig die Rampe hoch und runter, auch wenn ich das Gefühl habe, dass er es nicht wirklich gut findet. Die Rampe selbst kann einmal zusammengeklappt werden und ist dadurch für mich etwas unhandlich und auch nicht sooo leicht. Man kann es aber händeln und dadurch ist sie auch sehr stabil. Die Beschichtung ist in der Tat wie Sandpapier, aber so rutscht der Hund auch nicht ab und kann locker darüber gehen. Ob das jetzt schlecht für die Pfoten ist, kann ich nicht sagen, da er ja nicht ständig und stundenlang darüber läuft. Er steigt vielleicht zweimal am Tag ein und aus. Das finde ich vertretbar. Es mag andere Rampen geben, die besser sind, die kosten jedoch auch gleich das Doppelte oder mehr. Insofern kann ich dieses Produkt empfehlen, weil es für meine Zwecke reicht und vom Preis her in Ordnung ist.

This product is so terrible. No way is it rated to 200lbs. It looked like it would snap when my 60lb lab went up it. Also, it has no non slip rubber on the back where it meets your car, so it slides. So unsafe. Don’t even get me started on the shape it was in when it arrived

Rampe très pratique et solide, mon chien monte et descend facilement sans se faire mal. Elle est légère, se plie rapidement et ne prend pas de place dans le coffre. Le revêtement antidérapant rassure l’animal, même quand il pleut. Un vrai confort aussi bien pour lui que pour moi !
