Q: Will this work for my 2005 Harley Davidson Softail standard

Not sure. My 12 Street bob has the 96ci and I had some extra fluids

Q: Primary holds 1.4 quarts. Why does this kit only offer 1 quart?

Not all Harley's have the same capacity. I have a 2011 soft tail that holds a quart ( 32 Oz.) and a 2009 Road King that holds 36 Oz. You should check your bikes engine manual and see what you need so you can be prepared to service your bike per the manufactures recommendations.

Yes, I run the Red Line 20/50 kit in my 2017 Harley Road Glide Ultra with the M8 107ci. I have been using this exclusively since new. My only complaint is they send a hat and worthless funnel with every order, wish if they want to send a funnel make it one useful. All in all I highly recommend this product.
