How do you remove the security device from a Makita battery shipped from Amazon? (The device safes the battery for shipment.)

Yeah, you'd think they could have come up with something a bit better! I think I used a pocket knife, but the other suggestions are probably better. It's not magic. And, by the way, your question isn't a dumb one. I think we all had to scratch our heads when we first saw it.
