DOOM has brought back with it a huge array of nostalgia, interest, great linear and slight free roam experience. The game itself is smooth and a refreshing take on the run and gun genre, it doesn't need smart talking bad mouthed soldiers when you've got enough executions and chainsaw fuel to let people know what you're really about. Its campaign delivers hours of mutilated demons, shooting, secret areas, shooting, upgrades, shooting, jumping, shooting, great depth, shooting, big gun arsenal and the BFG. If you're looking for a duck,cover, slow motion military game then this isn't for you. The story remains intriguing, building upon the original game , incorporating and creating a long awaited canon storyline for the series. Exploring Mars , Hell and back again, drawing the player a long corridor of "Why have I returned?" and "What happens if i shoot this?". Much like it's predecessor , it doesn't take itself too seriously allowing the game to become quirky and full of character. It is no means repetitive of a copy when you spend your time exploring and enjoying what has been done to the series.There are a number of overwhelming positives to this game:- Graphics are fantistic adding to the Sci-Fi world- The gameplay is so smooth, there doesn't seem to be a slow moment- It's simple to use. Easy to pick up and run with- Straightforward mechanics and overall just meshed together amazingly well. It is a simple run and gun, few cut scenes , lots of monsters and plenty of opportunities to reminisce on how revolutionary the original was. It is a game full of satisfaction, much with Bethesda games, the devil is in the detail, there is more to be gained from this game by exploring maps, reading the archives, taking on the challenges and finding collectibles , none of which are always straightforward to locate.The online is another refresh on the multiplayer aspect, smooth and inventive game types, it offers a variety of ways to explore the doom universe further. It's smooth, easy to pick up and go with. Have had no issues with connecting and has provided numerous ways to customise yourself and humiliate others.Bethesda , in my opinion, are the sort of inspired company that doesn't start work until they've taken their hallucinogens and been chased around the office by dragons, mutated rats, deranged alternative futures and warped toads. DOOM has been no exception

Having played the recent beta, I was bitterly disappointed with the game.However, I thought I would give the game a chance and bought it just before release.I can say first hand that the single player is fantastic, It takes an hour or so to get into it, but once you get comfortable it becomes a HELL of a lot of fun.Its clever too as the game gradually increase the pace and difficulty and speed, I love how one minute you can be happily running around and all of sudden your surrounded by 30 demons.Graphics/lighting as usual with DOOM games is amazing, the new rune and gun modding stuff is great and really works well.Love it, utterly brilliant fun, a little stressful at times when your surrounded, but brilliant story, level design and awesome new melee glory killing!!I have not yet played the multiplayer as I am not that interested in it, I bought this for the single player. However I did try the new map editor function and this allows you to play other peoples maps/missions in single player, so you can play on your own against wave after wave on custom designed maps from other people or even your own.Fantastic running and gunning FPS, with great references to the old games.

Not a bad play, old school doom style, don't expect to be playing it for months though as content is very limited like most modern games but for a tenner you can't go wrong really

Initially this game is ok; the graphics are decent and the gameplay is quite smooth but the game seems to get old very quickly. It seems to follow a pattern of you getting locked in a room, killing loads of monsters, moving to the next room, getting locked in again, killing loads of monsters etc. which is too repetitive for me.However, if you're just looking for a game to kill monsters all day long, this could be for you.

After playing the game for about 12 hours I can tell you that this game is brilliant. I haven't played the previous Doom games but I'm enjoying the latest edition. The graphics are as good as most next gen games. The way combat works in this game is so refreshing and you always have to keep moving. It can be very difficult at times to stay alive but feels great when you complete a level or win a game. You can build your own maps, great multiplayer and the campaign lasted me a good 12 hours of play time but there's still lots of collectables, upgrades and secrets I missed so I can definitely see myself replaying it. I personally don't see the point of nightmare difficulty as the game was hard enough on the second easiest difficulty but I guess the option is there for people who like that sort of thing. Well worth the purchase if you like a gruesome action packed fps.

Well i been waiting for this game for awhile so here is ny honnest review...This game is a reimagining of the original doom on the ps1, its plays at the same fast paced action with next gen graphics. Which might i say look sweet even when breaking skulls and ripped heads off at speed.No thought is really needed in this game unless your tryi g to find all the secrets hiddwn in levels just like the old games.I still prefer doom 3 as that was my fav but this stands out on its own if you want something with good graphics great game play and quite lengthy story this game is for you, you can level up your health armour and ammo and also complete challanges which are rough at times youll see why. You can mod your guns which you level up with points earbed through out levels.Multiplayer hasnt really engaged me as much as the single player, multi what you would expect run gun run gun die revive lolAlso a new feature where yo ucan create your own levels which seems pretty cool i have played afew already made and they add extra depth to the game.Otherall i would say this is a must have shooter for any xbox owner. Bethesda have done well with this one

La saga Doom tiene uno de los mejores gameplays y este título mejoro cada apartado del mismo, gráficos, música, etc.

My boyfriend LOVES this game. I'm not sure what happens throughout this game myself, but I know there is a lot of guns and shooting! The boys give it a 10/10!!!! Shipping was also incredibly fast.

Doom (esta versión) es un juego que hace tiempo que ronda en el mercado. Sin haberle dado mucha importancia ni haberme interesado por ello, el título me generaba curiosidad. Pero no una curiosidad tan alta como para comprarlo arriesgándome a abandonarlo a la primera partida, para que nos entendamos ... ya que no soy muy fan de shooters en primera persona en consola. En mi opinión este tipo de juegos hay que jugarlos con teclado y ratón, pero después de jugar a Doom, mi perspectiva ha cambiado totalmente.El juego a fecha de hoy está incluido en el GamePass, y gracias a un período de prueba del servicio, pude jugarlo gratis.Ladies & gentleman, este juego me dejó alucinando por un tubo. Unos gráficos brutales (salió un parche para jugarlo a 4K en Xbox One X), una jugabilidad endiabladamente rápida (si te quedas quieto mueres rápido. ¡Es frenético!). Niveles muy bien diseñados, grandes y abiertos, llenos de secretos y con algunos guiños a los Doom clásicos.Sobre los niveles me gusta mucho el toque de plataformeo que tienen. En juegos en primera persona al menos yo no estoy acostumbrado a una jugabilidad así, es raro. Pero en Doom está muy bien integrado, es super arcade. Y con el mando de Xbox me hice sorprendentemente rápido con el control, al final aprendes a jugar con precisión y a toda velocidad. Supongo que me adapté rápido por el vicio que me generó xDPor cierto por si alguien tiene dudas, es un juego muy gore, como cabría esperar ;PPodéis pensar que estoy exagerando con mi opinión, pero no es así. De hecho si me he comprado el juego en físico es por lo tanto que me ha llegado a gustar este Doom, pienso que es obligatorio tenerlo en toda colección :DY ahora por culpa de este, estoy super hypeado con la salida de Doom Eternal el año que viene. ¡Boh!"Recomendado por AOJ"®
