a good value
This pump works well for lawn and garden irrigation. It has already paid for itself - even if my town did not have an outdoor watering ban, I would have already paid more for water than I paid for the pump. The image shows the pump with 2 1-inch to garden-hose-thread adapters (WKUP F001 NPT to GHT Adapter - 1 NPT Male x 3/4 GHT Male, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078KV2S93/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ), and a 'foot' valve (Parts2O TC2503LF 1-Inch Foot Valve, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZTV3DK/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) that retains water in the feed hose when the pump is off. The foot valve is connected to the feed hose with another adapter and a female-female coupling (Gilmour Brass x NH 807734-1001 Heavy Duty Hose Connector Double Female Swivel 3/4 inch, 3/4-Inch by 3/4-Inch, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FJYR5K/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). The image was taken as I was testing the setup in a bucket. In use the foot valve is suspended in an old washing machine tub, which is in a pond. Others have described using buckets with punched holes to avoid pumping mud and debris. My experience is that a standard garden hose does not collapse in use as a feed hose. Water is pumped through another standard garden hose to a lawn sprinkler. The pump provides enough pressure to run the sprinkler over an about 15-foot vertical rise. In my experience the pump needs to be well-primed and to be connected to a filled feed hose. On first use with my setup I fill the feed hose by submerging the whole hose in the pond. I bring the hose to the pump which I stand on its end. With the output side hose arranged higher than the pump I pour clean water in the feed until the pump chamber is full then connect the feed hose. When first working with the pump I didn't have the drain plug tightened enough and I wasn't getting good pressure - now I am careful to make sure all the fittings on the feed side are tight. In 'answered questions' the manufacturer says the pump is rated for continuous duty and that the pump is cooled by feed water. I have been running the pump sometimes 16 hours a day without a problem. Bottom line - highly recommended.

Quiet & Effective Water Transfer Pump
We purchased this 1 HP pump to transport compost tea & rainwater from our rain barrels to our garden. I used it for the first time yesterday with a 100' garden hose. I attached a 10' RV water hose as the intake. 100' garden hose as the outlet. It worked great! I tied some mesh at the end of the garden hose to act as a filter. The pressure was good at the end - not super high pressure but enough to be satisfied using a shower, etc setting on the garden hose. Probably a bit lower than our standard household water, but more than adequate. All in all, I am really happy that it works for this purpose. It is really quiet - I would say barely noticeable for what it is accomplishing. You do have to prime the pump, but that's not a big deal for us. Just add water & water to the intake hose as well. ---It does NOT come with intake or outlet hoses ---It DOES come with garden hose adapters for both intake & outlet area ---It comes with some other attachments as well

Decent pumps but broken plastic
These are decent little pumps for the money. I have used a lot of them and this is the first one to come damaged. The packaging is pretty good except where the on/off switch is the plastic housing is right up to the side of the box so any bump there will likely break it. Mine arrived broken. The inside box had a dent on the inside, but no visible damage on the outside. This was a backup pump, so I never opened the box. I could hear something rattling when I pulled the inner box out of the outer box.

Overheats and cuts out
Worked great for 5 minutes, overheated and cut out. Let it cool for a few hours and tried again. Same thing, worked for 5 minutes, overheated and cut out. Had to go the Harbor Freight and get the green one they had for 2x the price but it at least worked. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this pump.

Good high volume pump for the right applications.
This pump moves a LOT of water! I use it to transfer water between the 100 to 500 gal. plastic tanks, and between a tank the the truck bed to my 5th wheel. Excellent performance. I hook it up to my FIRMAN generator if remote, works great!! I can water food plots with a tripod 360 degree sprinkler in a hurry!

Not enough pressure
I bought this pump to transfer water to my garden but didn't work, I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement really fast. I was excited to use it, I tried for about 3 minutes just to make sure it worked and it did but it had low pressure, I thought it was good enough for the price I paid for. Then I tried the next day I prepared everything I connected the hoses and it started with just low pressure and barely sucked water, and I followed all the instructions, put water in first for prime and all but it didn't draw water at all. I think I tried everything and can't figure out was is wrong with it.

Good pump with no leaks
I got this to increase the pressure for my in ground sprinkler system. It worked great. Didn't leak at all. It died because I turned off the water but forgot to turn off the pump. Like any of these type of pumps if that happens you burn out the pump part of it. My fault, not the pumps. I bought a cheaper one, made by Foting, what a mistake. They leaked a ton and after the third return went back to the Fluent one. No leaks anymore.

Good little pump
Honestly, for the price it’s a great little pump does exactly what I need. You just have to make sure that you prime it completely full of water before trying to turn it on.

2 years and still running great!
It was a bit of a learning curve getting the pump set up but once you do it works great. I'm watering my garden from the lake so I have a pipe running to it that's about 30 feet long with a 15 foot incline. I had to buy a foot attachment to the bottom of the pipe where it sucks in so that it held its prime. This little piece doesn't cost much but it's needed for the pump to work or the water will just continue to run out. Once that's on I get my pump primed and it stays primed the entire summer season! Woohoo! What I find worked best to prime it was to fill the pump up with water, start it, and I'll hear it much in. I'll tighten up the cap and then I'll turn my garden hose wand open and closed to release air until it gains full water strength. It's been a great pump and saves on well water. Glad I purchased and I hope the tips will help anyone else struggling to get the initial prime.

Runs Two Sprinklers Reliably — Easy to Prime and Simple to Hook Up
This is a solid and practical pump for moving water in smaller-scale applications, and it works well for real-world use when set up properly. I’ve been using it at my dugout to run two sprinklers, and it has been handling that setup reliably. One thing that stands out is how straightforward it is to get running. Priming is simple as long as you follow the basic steps, but having a good foot valve at the end of your intake line (in the water) makes a big difference. With that in place, it primes more easily and holds its prime between uses. In terms of performance, it provides consistent output and has no trouble keeping both sprinklers running at the same time. It’s not meant for heavy-duty commercial use, but for typical residential or property use like this, it performs well. The included fittings are a nice touch and make it easy to connect to a standard garden hose or your own suction line without needing extra adapters. That makes setup quicker and more convenient, especially if you’re switching between different uses. Once everything is connected, it runs smoothly and does its job without much hassle. Overall, this is a dependable, easy-to-use transfer pump that’s well-suited for things like irrigation or moving water from a dugout. A good option if you need something portable and reliable for light to moderate water transfer.

Excellent pump
I use this for watering the lawn at my seasonal campsite. Hook it up to a 1000 litre tote with a small generator and a sprinkler attached to a garden hose. Works Excellent. Way better than city water pressure. Absolutely fantastic.
