Sharper knives than using the steel that you usually get
So far so good produces a really sharp blade. Bought after seeing a video of it being used, advice for beginners is to hold vertically resting on work surface. This would be improved if the plastic tip was rubberised to stop it slipping. Used it when needed, can't be sure of longevity.

Sharpens brilliantly
I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s been superb. The oval diamond-coated rod bites evenly and brings a tired edge back to life in seconds. Two or three passes are usually all it takes to get all my knives cutting cleanly again. The ergonomic, non-slip handle feels secure even with wet hands, and the rod length is spot on for kitchen use. I especially like the consistent finish it leaves on stainless blades; it’s perfect for quick touch-ups between whetstone sessions so I don’t have to do a full sharpen as often. Light, sturdy, and straightforward to clean with a quick wipe, this has become my go-to honing rod. Excellent value and performance so far.

An effective sharpener for kitchen knives etc.
I find I prefer diamond coated Steels to ones with a hardened steel surface.

Sharpens well , short life span .
Fantastic sharpener when new . Don’t think the diamond coating will last long , after a month I can already see on the sharpener where I’ve been using it . But it works very well .

It works!
Wow - put a new edge on my Globals almost instantly. Had bee struggling with ceramics with poor results for some time and was on the point of changing my expensive knives. Not any more - they have a new lease of life now.

Good Results
The best sharpener I have purchased. It actually sharpens my knife’s! It is easy to use as well. I would recommend this do it’s reasonable price as well

I watched some videos online and learned how to use this at 12° and it really helps me keep my knives sharp
