HOMESCAPES - White Duck Feather Pillow Pack of 4 Pillows (Set of 2 Pairs) - Machine Washable - Hypo Allergenic & Anti Dust Mite RDS Certified.

After reading some mixed reviews (especially with a few specifically mentioning insufficient filling) I was a little hesitant initially. However, I've been using a Homescapes goose down quilt for some time which for the most part is of good quality. (A couple of the box baffles (sections) weren't quite equally filled but it's a minor issue & I've been very happy with it in every other regard). Going by the overall quality of my Homescapes quilt I decided to go ahead & purchase their pillows as well. The moment I opened the massive box they arrived in I could immediately see & feel I needn't have worried about the amount of filling. All 4 have ample & equal filling for medium density pillows. The down proof cotton covers are a nice thick fabric & they also look, & feel good quality too. (The outer fabric of my quilt is quite rustly although it has improved over time, however, these pillows barely rustle in comparison new. You can hear the fabric of the pillows gently rustle when you move your head but it's not annoying & it's minimal IMHO). The pillows are well finished all round, I closely checked each of them & I couldn't find any tatty ends or poor stitching at all. I still aired them before use but it wasn't absolutely necessary, there were no odours new out of the bags. (The quilt didn't have any odours upon receipt either & the filling that Homescapes use seems to be well treated). Once inside antibacterial pillow protectors it's a bit of a squeeze getting these pillows into some of my outer covers, when fully plumped up they are huge!! They are very comfortable, I've had no issues with being poked or prodded by sharp shafts/quills, & I have no complaints at all. They do trap in a lot of air & plump up very nicely, (obviously a good degree is squeezed out when weight/pressure is applied), but they still hold some air in quite well. They can flatten out at times depending on how they're being used, a jolly good shake soon restores them & a regular plumping also helps them over time. (I'm badly disabled & I suffer from severe chronic pain due to spinal injuries I sustained during my service in the armed forces. Obviously, it's VITAL that I have comfortable pillows & bedding or my problems are aggravated even further. Finding the best options for my particular circumstances can be a royal pain at times too, but in this instance I've got lucky again with Homescapes' products & found precisely what I was searching for). As with most things, there are pros & cons to down/feather vs hollowfibre & I really had, had enough of the cons of hollowfibre quilts/pillows. Personally, 3 of these pillows are sufficient to prop me up (although I also have a fully adjustable hospital style bed to help in that regard too). I can only lay on my back as well, I can't lay/sleep on my sides or stomach at all. 2 of these pillows are perfect for head & neck support for me laying flat. Otherwise, I really can't comment on their suitability or comfort for side sleepers, (I would imagine 2 would still be sufficient for those of a slight to average build). The pillows are simply packaged as pairs in clear plastic bags with a cardboard insert from the manufacturer with product & contact details. The pillows I received weren't compressed & they were essentially ready for use straight out of the bags. There are multiple labels stitched onto the pillows in a group, (they include instructions for care/maintenance, the specific type & ratio of the filling, a "hand signed" quality control check label, & a label with details for contacting the manufacturer directly). I'm certainly very happy with their quality, especially for their price when compared to expensive alternatives. I would certainly purchase more in the future if needed & I'd happily recommend them. Very good. 5/5. UPDATE - My niece has just moved into her 1st flat. I had promised I'd help out with a few things she needed starting out & she asked for some pillows. I immediately ordered another x4 pack of these for her. The 2nd batch was IDENTICAL to the 1st & she's very pleased with hers too. (Mine continue to be very good also. As previously mentioned, they can flatten out quite a bit when used more for propping up with the extra weight upon them. A really good shake/plumping on a regular basis puffs them straight back up again & stops the down compressing into a firm mass. They could actually go much larger if my standard sized outer cases weren't restricting their maximum size too). That's 2 seperate orders (x8 pillows) that we're very happy with!! 5/5.

They came nest day but as the order was on Prime that was to be expected. On seeing the parcel I was initially going oh my god they are as flat as a pancake. However, on opening the parcel and shaking the pillows out they almost immediately fluffed up . In fact I advise on receipt of these pillows give them a good shake. The do tell this in the instructions but who reads those. I have now left them to sit on the bed and will give them another shake in a bit. The fabric covering for the pillows appears to be very good and not some cheap thin fabric. it is also finished well. Most important is the fact there is no smell. I was dreading that. Many feather pillows have a terrible smell which I've come across in the past. This is a report on my initial assessment I'll reassess in a few weeks time.

It absolutely does smell like farm even after washing it and drying it completely, though it did help a little bit. Bad smell aside, I will be keeping it because it is so comfortable and soft. It fluffs up a lot after putting it in the dryer. It’s a good size. My head morphs to the pillow better than any memory foam pillow which I found too high and hurts my neck but this one is perfect so far. I immediately felt a difference in my body. If you find firm pillows to be too uncomfortable then try this one. Just make sure you buy some pillow mist to put on your pillow covers because the smell lingers. In my opinion I don’t feel many feathers poking through though bits of fluff did come out when i opened the package. And unlike other reviews I didn’t find the plastic lining to be noisy. I’ll update after a month of use.

Well filled and lovely and soft. They conflated out a bit, as you’d expect, while sleeping on them, but a quick shake and they’re puffed up again. Lovely. Well worth the money.

Nice & puffy

I honestly can't believe it, i have bought so many sets of pillows only to end up giving them away or throwing them. And not cheap ones either. I have slept through the night since I bought these, and I was tossing and turning all night.very comfy. They mold around your head.not too full and not too flat, just right my only moan is be prepared they do make a slight crinkly noise, but for the sake of a good night's sleep it's well worth it and hardly notice it now ❤️

Very nice pillows for a great price.

I had big hopes for these pillows but sadly they quickly went flat. Very soft and no feathers poking through and no smell that I noticed. If you like thin pillows they are very comfortable and soft and do puff back up when you shake them up which I do daily but sadly soon go flat again giving no support when sitting up in bed. I have already replaced mine as for me they were too flat.

Appena tolti dall'involucro puzzano bastante a anatra. Li ho messi un giorno al sole e all'aria e l'odore sparisce. Comunque uno sa così che si tratta veramente di piume ;). La morbidezza è perfette, il prezzo ok e il materiale è buono. Si dorme bene, questo si può dire.

This is some cheap hollow fiber pillow, locally made... this has nothing to do with duck feathers! Even the branding on pack says White Diamond Hallow fiber!

Really good but eventually it starts to smell and the feathers poke me in the head. Also really difficult to find a pillowcase that fits

Top qualité, juste attention au conditionnement car le sac en plastique est arrivé déchiré de part en part. Heureusement les oreillers étaient en bon état. Merci
