Fine for the dryer
These work fine. Just make sure you have enough clothes in the dryer with them, otherwise they bang around very loudly.

Nice softer dryer balls but 1 of mine dented in dryer
I’ve used these type - not this brand - of dryer balls before and I think they do work to help clothing - especially thick towels, sheets, bulky clothes like flannels and sweaters - dry more quickly and stay soft. These four (4) dryer balls are a little softer balks than some others types I’ve used so might be gentler on some fabrics. Gave them 4 rather than 5 stars because one of them got a dent in it after first trip through the dryer. (I have old dryers that have never dented after years of use.) The dented ball still works fine, about 1/4 of it got dented, but that shouldn’t have happened.

They work as expected
I got these to fluff up some throw pillows that had gotten a little flat and they worked well. These are also good to soften up jeans and other heavier clothing items. They don’t completely take the place of fabric softener for me, but I have friends who use similar dryer balls in that way and they’re happy with it. I find that they don’t eliminate static cling as well as dryer sheets do. These seem good quality and they don’t have any weird odors. I’m happy with this purchase.

These things work exactly as advertised. They will save you a fortune on dryer sheets. When you place one in the dryer, it will work for many, many loads - but will eventually crack - then you just put in a new one. I was so pleased to find these on Amazon - as I can no longer obtain them from the US based company where I used to shop for them.
