We have only watched the first episode so far and enjoyed it immensely but
I am watching this mini-series for the first time having been doing other things in the 1980s! We have only watched the first episode so far and enjoyed it immensely but, frustratingly, there is no information anywhere on the internet regarding filming locations. The house where Diana lives, shown in a distant shot when she gives John (Jan) a lift home on her horse after their first meeting, looks like Philips House in Dinton near Salisbury and the horse looks very much like Kestrel from the Grovely Riding Centre in Wilton who was certainly stabled there at that time.It would be great if anyone has more information on filming locations (and the identity of the horse). Someone from the film crew, perhaps?

I was not so taken with this film although the actors were good but not so keen on the story

A very good Story
I originally saw this when broadcast, but it was only when I bought the Audiobook of the original novels that I got back into it. Alas for many years I could not track it down as available on Video or DVD, so when I saw it advertised an essential buy., if you are a fan of the books expect the usual differences and omissions in story that occur when books are transferred to the screen either big or small. It does not disappoint and the cast are very good.

Good tv series
Good tv series but the book is better if you have time to read it an absolute classic love story. The BBC adaption of the book good though and well worth a look.

I loved this.
Perfect for these days of having to be confined to the house. I had read the book and this was not a disappointment as some films can be when the written word is changed to spoken. It is good value as hours of entertainment for the money and I was sad when I came to the last part.

Beautiful series, so enjoyable
Outstanding. One of my favorite books on DVD! The only caution; you must have a region-free DVD player for this video, if you live in the U.S. (Got a great one from Amazon.)
