Great item - works extremely well.
I was a bit dubious about this as it was fairly cheap and had mixed reviews, but it works perfectly, was easy to set up, even for me, and has a good back light when you press the button. Excellent value for money.

Really good little clock
Really good little clock, perfect size even for a normal every day clock. I really like that there is no background light unless i press the light button on top. The alarm is nice and loud and snooze time is sufficient that its not annoyingly short but also not so long I fall back into a deep sleep (about 8 mins)

Good price, and that's probably the only positive thing about this clock. The battery door falls off very easily even without touching it. The snooze button (also activates the backlight) comes with a sharp beep which is annoying at night.

Decent radio controlled travel alarm clock
This is a reasonable value RCC clock at the current purchase price of 7.99 - but at the full RRP of 14.99 I'd probably have to knock off a star, since for £15 there are better alternatives out there. The pictures don't really give a true feel about the size of the clock - it is very compact and measures around 3 inches x 3 inches x 1 inch. It is supplied with 2 AAA batteries and upon inserting these, it will start looking for the radio signal to set the clock. The radio mast symbol flashes and just above it there is a reception strength indicator - make sure that at least one or more bars are lit for a successful reception. In my case I didn't get any bars when I first tried the clock out in the centre of my kitchen, but moving the clock a couple of feet resolved this and the correct time was picked up within 2-3 minutes. The user guide indicates that the clock looks for the radio signal at 2/3/4/5 AM at night (when the radio signal tends to be stronger) but in any case over the first month of use I've not had issues and the clock successfully handled the transition from winter to summer time. The LCD display is reasonably clear over a viewing angle of 70-80 degrees, but given the small size of the unit - and depending on how good your eyesight is - you might struggle to see it if you're several feet away. The "dual" alarm system is a little confusing but basically the clock allows you to set one time for days 1-5 (Mon-Fri) and another time for days 6-7 (Sat-Sun). This may or may not be convenient - several other reviewers didn't like this feature. The "snooze" button on top of the clock will delay the alarm for 8 minutes - this button is also used to turn on the backlight. The clock does emit a beep each time you press the button. One more point to note is that the pictures show the date in "month/date" (US) format but in my case the clocked showed "date/month" which I actually prefer. It is possible to switch between these two formats if you enter the manual time setting menu. In theory it is also possible to alter the time zone by an integer number of hours - so for example, if you were to travel to France you should set an offset of +1 and the clock should attempt to receive the UK time signal (can be received over most of western Europe) and it should then display the correct time for central Europe.

Light button beeps
This clock is OK, it works as described and is very easy to set up. There is however one major design fault with it; when you press the light button it makes a load beep. This is a big problem if you need to check the time in the middle of the night and you have a wife or partner sleeping next to you. I can't for the life of me understand why they have designed it like that. I was going to return itbut realised that I would need to pay the postage, as it's a third party seller, so instead I took it apart and removed the speaker from the board. This solved my issue but it is no longer an alarm clock, for me that's fine as I don't use an alarm but it is something to bear in mind before ordering this.

Fiddly and awkward
This is nice in that it tells the time but it's awkward to use and fiddly to set and stop the alarms. Also the alarm isn't loud enough for me to be sure it'll wake me up for something important and I don't feel sure its even set right. Ok for someone that wants to wake up at the same time every day and is a light sleeper.

It's about time I had such a good clock!
A really nice little clock. Having put the batteries in I began to read the instructions and was amazed to note that after a few seconds the clock had automatically connected to a radio signal and set the correct time and date, and showed the current temperature. What more could you want?
