Deep dark black
Good product, do not use on fountain pens only dip pens

This REALLY IS for dip pens!!
The colour is beautiful, deep, and ... "Just, aaahhh...." Unfortunately for me, I thought I could get away with using this ink in a normal fountain pen, and don't do what I did! Now my pen is gunked up inside. If that crud doesn't come out, my Lamy Al Star would be toast.

Lovely calligraphy ink for use with my dip pen. Very dark on the thicker strokes so looks almost black in comparison to thinner strokes where you can see the dark blue so I may need to switch to a lighter blue so it can be seen better

This ink is wonderful! I use it with a brush for illustrating/drawing. I have not tried using it in something like a fountain pen for calligraphy though. It does need a shake before use in order for the colour to be consistent, as it separates a little over time. I really like the way the container looks, it's very cute and stylish. I opted for a small pot to begin with, as I didn't know how much I'd use, but of course if you're going to use a lot, definitely go for a bigger container, otherwise it would get expensive quickly. Perhaps the pot could be refilled with the larger container and used as a smaller way of keeping it?

Not really suitable for fountain pens
The adverts say that, yes, this is suitable for use in fountain pens. My experience is that the fountain pen is constantly blocking. I purchased another brand of ink specifically for use in a fountain pen and the blocking issue has disappeared. This is a good ink for dip pens - not fountain pens.

I bought this for my cousin and she loves it. The color is good. Looks just like the picture flows awesome Inc. qualities good very functional value. The money is good. Quality good. The flow is good. I don’t know about smudge resistant because I don’t use it.
