Don't think about it, just buy it
This book is utterly brilliant. I'm 52 years old and completely new to motorcycling. I must be going through a mid-life crisis or something as I've never had any interest in motorbikes whatsoever until about 6 months ago and now I can't get them out of my head. I keep thinking about going on an adventure, riding a motorbike around the world maybe. I buy my weekly copy of MCN every Wednesday and read all the monthly mags like Bike and Ride, etc. I've become addicted to it. This book covers everything you could possibly want to know about adventure riding. I feel that I could now go around the world on 2 wheels with complete confidence. That might sound completely bonkers taking into account how very inexperienced I am but what the hell. If I don't do something now, when will I. Don't even think twice about buying this book, the author has been there, done it and bought the t-shirt. I'm off now to start reading another book that landed on my doorstep yesterday from Amazon called 'Proficiency In Motorcyling'.

Fantastic book
Fantastic book - a must for everyone dreaming about an adventure on their bike. So many valuable tips, one of them solved a mystery on my bike which had cost me a lot of money to mechanics ("small petrol filters block at temp about 35 degrees"). Good leaning, entertaining as well - written with a humoristic tone - love the book, well done.

must-have book for adventure riders (and for city-riders, too!)
must-have book for adventure riders (and for city-riders, too!). It arrived in a well protected box; reading of this book gives the informations one must have to be prepared for big and little adventures. But it is exciting to be read as a book itself!

... cover every aspect of adventure riding without it feeling like you are reading an instruction manual
manages to cover every aspect of adventure riding without it feeling like you are reading an instruction manual. Has a good balance between pure facts, stories and opinions from the authors. Well worth reading wether or not you intend travelling in to any of the deloping countries.

An Informative Book--and A Great Read
This classic book deserves all the great reviews as an adventure handbook, but perhaps overlooked is the fact that this book is a great read. The style is terse, gritty, compact, complete with a touch of irony and seasoned with wry comments. I especially enjoy the short summaries of other overland traveling motorcyclists--I could read a whole book of these accounts. If you plan on a serious motorcycle adventure trip, read this book. If you like reading about motorcycles and interesting places, read this book. And re-read this book. And re-read this book

Amazon, come sempre, impeccabile
