The quality of the soap is incredible, so far above average commercial brands. The lather you get is instant, thick and creamy. I also love the fact that it rinses off so easily with absolutely no residue at all. Squeaky clean! Best of all, the scent of this particular one. There's nothing else quite like it, and first thing in the morning is just what you need in the shower, to wake up your senses. It does make you think of the old Tuscan countryside, the smell of ancient wooden interiors. I absolutely love this stuff and won't use anything else any more. It's also good value for money, as the bar is enormous and lasts so long.

Very lovely smell when first opening the bar. This obvious smell dies back once the bar is in use. That being said it seems to leave a lot of fragrance on my skin. I won't buy this one again but only because I like the cypress one better for a re-purchase and there are many more by Nesti Dante for me to try. Good quality soap. Lasts for about three weeks plus of showers for two of us. So little choice of bar soap in the main shops so really pleased that Amazon stocks Nesti Dante.

I have just received my order of 5 Nesti Dante soaps. Different fragrances, and all beautiful. I have opened , and used the golden countryside one, and wow, lovely soft creamy lather, feels so rich and luxurious. All my handwashes ( in plastic containers) are being recycled, and Im going back to "proper" soap. These bars are really big, and will last for ages, so, although more expensive than supermarket soaps, its so worth it, for the little feeling of being pampered, and we all have to wash our hands so often in these times. I really recommend, and they would make great gifts too.

Nice soap! I love the paper wrapping. Lovely creamy lather. Scent not as strong as I had hoped . My first Nesti Danti soap , Good price, lasts well. I am going to try the cypress one next.

oh wow. i have just recieved this soap and i jumped in the shower straight away as i could`not resist the wonderful aroma. then i did not waNT TO GET OUT OF THE SHOWER !. THIS SOAP IS AMAZING, IT IS ACTUALLY THE BEST SOAP I HAVE EVER USED IN MY LIFE, BAR NONE. IT IS SO REFRESHING WITH THE MOST HEAVENLY AROMA, BUT NOT OVERPOWERING . IT WASHES YOU REALLY WELL, AND YOU FEEL SO FRESH AFTET IT . IT RINSES OFF INCDEDIBLY WELL TOO , THE ACTUAL SMELL LINGERS ON YOUR BODY FOREVER. NO MORE SHOWER GELS FOR ME , I WONT BE ENTIRELY HAPPY UNTIL I HAVE THE COMPLETE COLLECTION , HAHAHAHA.

The Soap is absolutely great

I bought this Countryside soap under the false impression that it was floral, it does in fact smells like hay. While some people may find that a pleasant fragrance I don't, and it seems you cannot return this item. So be warned unless you're certain you want your bathroom to smell like a barn choose a different Nesti Dante soap, I can assure you they have some glorious fragrances and they are very good quality and long lasting, which in this particular instance isn't such a possitive.

Never have I come across a bar of soap as enchanting as this. On the first day I received the soap I smelt it and thought it was okay, nothing special and safely tucked it into one of my drawers for future use. A few hours later while I was laying in bed I smelt something slightly incense-y, with a faint hint of a woody floral musk. I laid there for a moment reminiscing about a time and place long gone. In that moment I was 6 again and had wondered off into unknown parts of an old rustic building. It has a scent as comforting as a parent's warm embrace, something which reassures you that no matter how far you'd gone you were still some place safe. Top marks for longevity in both scent and usage. If you're a fan of Nesti Dante Dei Colli Fiorentini Cipresso Soap 250g , you'll be a big fan of this. The woody undertones are similar but between the two I like Villages and Monasteries so much more. Whereas I felt Cypress was a journey, this feels like the destination.
