After I used a little common sense, assembly was easy. Attach your hook to the base counter and tighten with the provided wrench(do not loose the wrench is the only way to tie and untie the hook). If you don’t tighten the head of the hook on, your hook will fall off while crocheting. The hook is very comfortable to grab and ergonomic.But once tightened, you can rely on it staying in the correct position the entire time. The hook must face the direction of the counter, if not you won’t be able to access the buttons while crocheting, you have to touch the stitch button each time is manual not automatic, but I found this way better than using a pencil and paper.The size is printed on the bottom plastic attachment piece, they all appear accurate. It comes in a pretty dark pink zippered case, everything in a very organized way. Is super easy to use, the hook base is rechargeable and the battery last for a long time, it also has an LED light at the top of the hook, the button labeled with an “R” represents Rows & the bottom button labeled with an “S” represents Stitches, the first top bottom is to turn on/off the light that has two lights modes. It’s a pretty neat gadget that my oldest granddaughters will enjoy.

I like it a lot. I'm using it now. The handle on the light hook is a little bigger than I'm used to. But comfortable.

I have just started using on dark colors. Working on a camouflage poncho. So far the light seems to be helping. The hook is larger but I have no difficulty crocheting with it. I haven't needed the counter with this project but will use it counting rows on some projects. I doubt that I will use it counting stitches.

My family loves to watch movies in the dark. I love to crochet while I watch movies. This set of light-up hooks was the perfect solution!I had ordered a set of interchangeable metal hooks which, like these clear plastic ones, that had a light emanating from the base. However, the clear plastic of these allows the light to travel down to the tip of the hook, illuminating the stitch you’re working on as well as the hook, which I found to be the deciding factor in favor of these. The light on the metal set fell around the tip of the hook, but on darker yarn this effect wasn’t as helpful as I would’ve liked. So I opted for this clear plastic set, even though I prefer the smoother working feel of metal hooks.It’s because there is some friction between these plastic hooks and the synthetic fiber yarns I frequently use, that I end up using a size smaller than what is called for in my pattern. I find this allows me to work my stitches a bit more loosely to avoid the squeaking many reviews have mentioned while maintaining the same gauge as my metal hooks produce. (I switch back and forth between my metal hook and the size-smaller plastic hook from this set.)One short charge of the base seems to last a number of hours, which is nice.Very happy with this set on the whole, though it was pricey, and like most stuff made overseas that is found on here, I have my doubts that it will stand the rest of time.

Comes with different size hooks, easy to switch the hooks. Comfortable grip, 2 brightness settings, and functional. Easy to use row and stitch counter!
