The PureBites are great. Both of our picky eaters love the Chicken Breast. The only down side is that Amazon keeps sending the bags inside a padded bag, leaving our first Order mostly chicken dust and the second order with a lot of dust. Now, our cats will eat the chicken dust, that is not what we are buying. We are buying treats, not dust.

As a pet parent of a veritable zoo, I love my fur babies and consider them all part of my family - including all 12 chickens! Lulz! Accordingly, I feed them the best food and treats possible. To make sure they are healthy and happy, I keep their diet as natural and organic as possible. That includes treats. I often make my own, esp dog biscuits, but sometimes I just don't have the time. So I like to eep some ready made treats on hand. But finding healthy treats, esp for cats, is not an easy task. That's how I ended up trying PureBites! And I'm glad I did! Made from NOTHING other than pure chicken, these freeze dried treats are low calorie and high protein. So I feel great about giving them to my cats! And they go BONKERS for them! If I open a bag that even remotely sounds like the treat bag, they come running.... just in case! I alternate between the chicken and the ocean whitefish to give them variety. They love both! While 1.09 oz may sound like a small amount, these are freeze dried chunks of chicken, so it weighs over 90% less than fresh chicken. The package actually holds quite a bit! I'd say it's equal to approximately 1 1/2 large chicken breast halves. The package lasts my 2 rather spoiled kitties a month! They are offered on Subscribe and Save, so I just have it delivered without thinking about it! For anyone who is unfamiliar with freeze dried products, they are great and will last 25+ years when stored in a cool, dry place. Freeze drying uses a pressurized environment combined with extremely low temperatures to rapidly eliminate over 90% of the water in meat, vegetables, fruits, sauces, etc. By doing so quickly, the cell structure remains intact. That means that the texture is relatively unchanged. The result is a food product that can last for decades without degrading or becoming tainted by bacteria. It also reduces the weight dramatically, so storage is easy. Also, by freeze drying products like fruits and vegetables raw, nearly 100% of the original vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and enzymes remain intact! Raw fruits and veggies have naturally occurring lactobacteria on their skins/surface. I wish they had an organic option or at least one that didn't use factory farmed chicken, but that doesn't exist right now. I haven't even found organic or humanely raised freeze dried chicken for humans, yet. But that's my only complaint and it does;t warrant any reduction in rating since I knew what I was purchasing. Just putting my wishes out there! :-) These freeze dried treats are exceptionally healthy and both cats and dogs love them! Highly Recommend! My cat LOVES this freeze dried chicken. I also tasted it myself--tastes like chicken! Lol Only one ingredient (chicken), no seasonings, preservatives, etc. My only complaint is that the cubes of chicken are not durable. Because they're freeze dried, they're quite brittle, and a disappointing proportion (maybe 1/4 - 1/3 of it?) is just crumbs and dust. Cat still thinks it's crack, but it's hard to dole out a consistent amount from one time to the next or be economical about it or feed it on a blanket/cat bed (cuz the dust falls through the pile). The dust isn't an absolute deal breaker, but I may shop around to check for other options that might be a little bit more durable. I don't know if it would fare better if it was in a container rather than a bag? I dumped mine from the bag into a clean jar right after I received it because the zip seal was defective (as such things often seem to be), and it was already partly dust and crumbs when I first dumped it out.

Finally I received my lost replacement order and I was extremely pleased and so was my cat thank you.

Great treat for the cat. It’s healthy and has the satisfying crunch that they enjoy. My 15-year-old cat is about a pound overweight and mostly healthy. This is a treat I feel good giving her.

My kitten loves them. I think they need to be packaged in a harder container because there’s lots or residue from the pieces when they get crushed. But KitKat approves of them

I thought I had safely tucked the "Super Value Size" bag away in the cupboard, but my cat, usually quite indifferent to his treat stash, had other ideas. I came home one evening to find the bag had been somehow dragged out and meticulously chewed open! ​Yes, he managed to eat through the entire bag it was completely gone on! There was nothing left but crumbs and a guilty, yet immensely satisfied, look on his face. ​This isn't just a treat; it's an obsession. It's a high-value reward for training, a delicious snack, and clearly, worth the risk of cupboard raids, according to my cat. If your cat is picky, I highly recommend trying these. Just make sure you store them in a container with a lock!

Product received exactly as expected. Bite sized pieces perfect for treats. There were some pieces shredded but thats okay, i just add them as topper on her food. Very healthy, good value. My cat loves it.

My cat loves these! I was a bit scared she would not eat them as she is addicted to Greenies; however, she likes these even more. PROS + Affordable + Freeze-dried raw chicken -- nothing sketchy added + Smells good! The cat loves it! + Each treat is about 2 kcals of pure protein, so you can feel good knowing you're giving your cat a healthy snack/treat + Some pieces are absolutely massive (the same size I would have if I were adding meat to a meal) + Resealable bag CONS - The smaller pieces may become *very small* in transit but this is not a concern for me; I can sprinkle the remaining flakes on her wet food.
