Good for extending internet around the house
I purchased the 2-Port 600mbps Passthrough Powerline kit and it has greatly enhanced my home network connectivity range. The powerline adaptors give me a reliable and convenient solution for extending the network connection throughout my house. Pros: Easy Setup: The powerline kit is wonderfully easy to set up. You simply plug one adapter into a power outlet close to your router and connect the adaptor via an Ethernet cable. The second adaptor goes into a power socket in the desired room and again using an ethernet cable connect to your device. There is no complicated setting up or wiring, you simply plug and go. I've had mine running for a while now and the connection is fast and Stable. The powerline adaptors cleverly utilise the electric circuits in your home to extend the internet network. This creates a strong and steady connection, ideal for my internet needs such as online gaming and streaming TV. Socket outlets are a premium in my house so it was important not to lose the only one close to the TV and Xbox, so I opted for the pass through adaptors, this allows you to use the power outlet for other devices without sacrificing an available socket. The adaptors are both the same so it doesn't matter which one goes where, they both have the same pass through so you don't lose the use of a socket and each have a single Ethernet port, this allows you to connect a single device or you can add a multi port ethernet box which are inexpensive and work well, this will provide extra flexibility for connecting multiple devices, such as gaming consoles, smart TVs, and computers. The adaptors have green led lights showing that power is on and network is ok which is handy, plus they aren't too bright in the bedroom. Cons: Need to be on the same circuit to work. So if you want to use it in the shed or your upstairs sockets are on a different one to downstairs then it won't work. The longer the circuit then the effectiveness of the adaptor may diminish but in a standard house is not an issue. Overall, the 600mbps Passthrough Powerline Adaptors are a solid reliable solution for extending network connectivity throughout your home. With its easy plug and go setup, solid connection, passthrough outlet, and god Ethernet speed it's an easy option for improving network reach. I would recommend these as a great addition to any home network.

Very quick, very easy, very nice
I got these for my student accommodation where the router is in the living room and there are no ethernet ports in the rooms. I bought two sets, one for the router, one for the Steam-Link by the TV, and one each for the two desktops in each bedroom. The connection is fast and stable, being able to fully utilise my internet connection with no slow-downs, nice! Streaming using the Steam-Link feels like just using a HDMI cable, absolutely no stuttering or latency. Mouse movement is fast and responsive. Using all 4 at once also has no effect on the internet speed, I expect with download speeds approaching their limit, you may find that itโll stop going up, which is expected. The devices probably wonโt reach the connection speed advertised on the box. This number is theoretical and achievable in very strict test conditions. Under normal use in a house with decent electrics I imagine you should get over 80% of the speed advertised. So if you require these for high load networking then purchase a model with a slightly higher achievable speed than your requirements. Setup was easy. You can either download a tool and use it to manage your network, or simply press the pair button on two devices. To setup 4, first pair any two together. Then press the pair button of any adapter in the network (either of the two you just paired) and then press the pair button on another one. Repeat this as many times as you need to link all the adapters together. I expect the more you add the less maximum speed youโll be able to get as the one by the router has to feed every other adapter. Really happy with this purchase, does the job very well and are actually much faster and more reliable than I expected. This will be my home networking solution from now on. ***If you found my review helpful please donโt forget to mark it as helpful below, thanks!***

Easy setup with good results
My son constantly complained about the broadband speed when gaming with his friends online. This was very frustrating as I have one of the fastest broadband packages you can get. After speaking to our service provider they suggested trying to hardwired items like gaming computers and consoles that require super fast connection speeds for streaming gaming and movies. Having read multiple reviews on all the available adapters I decided to give these TP-Line adapters a go. Setting up is very straight forward. Do the following: - Plug in both adapters to sockets close to each other (to start with) Press the pair button on one of the adapters for 1 second. The green LED indicator starts flashing Next, within 2 minutes press the pair button on the 2nd adapter. The green LED indicator starts flashing on this too. When both LED's on both adapters stop flashing the units are paired. (This can take up to 2 minutes) After the units have paired: - Plug in one of the adapters by your internet router and connect the cable from the adapter into the back of your router. Place the 2nd adapter where you require a internet connection and connect the CAT lead to your device. Job done. Remember to turn off the WiFi on your laptop / connected device. Adding additional adapters is easy: - Plug in the new adapter and press the pair button. The green LED indicator starts flashing On one of the other adapters (already part of the network) press the pair button within 2 minutes. The green LED indicator starts flashing. When both LED's on both adapters stop flashing the new adapter unit has paired with the other network adapters. Easy After reading that the adapters are only supplied with Cat 5 cables (max speed 100Mbps) instead of enhanced Cat 5e (max speed 1000Mbps) the full throughput cannot be achieved without purchasing some better CAT leads. I opted for some CAT6 leads just because they slightly better quality than CAT5e stopping cross-talk (noise interference from other cables) So far these powerline adapters seem to have done the job. Very happy with these internet passthrough powerline adapters. I would have given 5 stars if the kit had better CAT cable.

Fire stick buffering solved.
Genius. We have three Amazon fire sticks and two work fine but the third is in the kitchen, the furthest room away from the router in the loft and the fire stick just buffered. The home page came up okay but we couldn't bring down any programmes. All we got was the message that we were off line. Shucks. So, I hit the internet and searched for an answer. Ignoring the advice to power wash all our gizmos (right, that's not happening) I finally found someone who had the same problem and solved it with a powerline adaptor. I'd never heard of one but it could work. Apparently, it will either work or not depending on the mains network in your house. You need to connect one adaptor by ethernet cable to the internet router, pair it to the other adaptor and then join that to an ethernet adaptor connected to the fire stick. As our house is a mish-mash of extensions done at differing times, I didn't hold much hope but it worked immediately and the fire stick pinged into life and we now have a fully functioning fire stick in the kitchen. Hurrah. It has buffered twice since we did this but only for a second and then carried on okay. Mostly, the programmes play without problems. Much better than the nothing we had before. It's great. The two ethernet cables are included and long enough (about 1.5m) to stretch from the router to a socket. The adaptors must be in a proper socket and not an extension. The Amazon ethernet adaptor - which you need to bridge between the powerline adaptor and the fire stick - is tiny and fits into the usb c socket on the fire stick and then connects through the usb c on the ethernet adaptor as does the ethernet cable to the second paired powerline adaptor. It's clearer when you have the set up in front of you. The only downside is that the ethernet cable stretches across the kitchen wall to the socket by the floor and is in full view - unlike the tv socket which is hidden behind the set. However, we're so glad to have it working that we'll live with it and I'll paint it to match the background to make it as invisible as possible. All in all, we're well pleased and more than delighted to be able to watch whatever while we're in the kitchen. No more frustrating buffering. Problem solved. Thank goodness.

Works perfectly, very simple.
Does exactly what's expected, very simple, I'm very happy. I wanted to give it five stars, but for some reason it only accepted four stars!

Broadband Extender using Ethernet Cable.
Does what it says on the box, a good way to extend your internet access in your home. You need to follow the instruction though donโt be tempted to plug it into extender leads, it will work but you loose considerable broadband speed.

Good for the money, but claims are a bit inflated.
I got a few to move my ethernet-equipped hosts off of WiFi. I don't know where AV600 comes from, because I couldn't get more than around 100mbps - even when they're plugged into the same socket - and when a little remote I got 60-80mbps. This doesn't matter, the speed is sufficient for what I need but it just feels a bit disappointing to only get around 10% of what is claimed. Still, 80mbps is enough for most purposes and the connection is nice and stable. Latency and ping is good, BTW. If you are a gamer you may find these better than Wifi. The units are small and neat and have a passthrough for the device they supply. They have a nice feature where they "sleep" when the device isn't drawing much current, which reduces their power draw significantly. Setting them up is a simple case of pressing the pair button on each device, so it couldn't be simpler. They're really ideal for neatly moving ethernet-equipped hosts (smart TVs, desktop PCs etc) off of WiFi to free up wifi bandwidth for things that absolutely need to be on it. Fortunately they're cheap enough that I could just stick to one-per-device and it all worked fine.
