I bought this charger together with some Duracell rechargeable batteries and it's been a great purchase. It's easy to use, charges batteries quickly, and has continued working reliably over the years without any issues. It's nice being able to keep batteries topped up rather than constantly buying disposables. Overall, it's been a solid charger that has earned its place in the house and I'd happily buy another if I ever needed to.

So far I’ve had no problems with this charger. It charges the batteries very quickly, and the battery life has been excellent. I mainly use them for my Xbox One controller, and a full charge easily lasts around 14-18 hours of gameplay, so I can go a couple of days without recharging. I saw some reviews mentioning that the batteries are slightly larger than standard AAs, but I haven’t had any issues with that. If anything, they fit even better in my Xbox controller because they don’t wiggle or shift like some other batteries do. Overall, I have no complaints. I’m really happy with the performance, and I’m even considering buying more rechargeable batteries.

Update review at 9/05/16: This is still my favourite go-to battery charger. My other fast charger rejects lots of batteries, deeming them “faulty” (red flashing lights); this one doesn’t. It just works and works well. We’ve since bought a third for our son and daughter-in-law. Top product! Original review: We've been using this for quite a while now so I thought I would update my review. In that time, we've bought a second as a gift for my sister in law. Basically - this has to be one of the best, if not the best, battery charger around simply because it is so small and convenient - and does what it says so straightforwardly. It folds up to fit easily in the corner of a drawer, then unfolds and plugs straight into the wall, with no bulky extra external power supply or trailing wires - brilliant; and most batteries really are ready in around 45 minutes. Done and dusted. It is a fast, "intelligent" charger and works with the various batteries we own (Eneloop, Amazon, Duracell, etc.). It is usually recommended that to get the longest life from a rechargeable battery, the charge rate should be 10% of its power, meaning around 200mAh charge for a typical 2000mAh battery; but that would take 13 hours to charge. This charger takes 45 minutes and I haven't noticed it damaging any of my batteries so far.

Purchased 6 garden lanterns with LED candles - each take 3 AAA batteries that actually only turned out to work for just over a week - obviously having to replace 18 batteries a week would be both expensive and terrible for the planet. Decided the only option was rechargeable batteries - I decided to pay more for a trusted brand and purchased 2 of these chargers so I could at least charge 8 batteries at a time - arrived very quickly and although they say pre charged I read you should always charge fully before use - the green light came on after about 20 minutes or so . They have worked perfectly powering the outdoor candles for just over a week but now needed charging. I don’t know if I’m stupid or missing something here but I thought I was buying a charger that took 45 minutes to charge the batteries - after an hour and the red light still on I was thinking something was wrong but both chargers were the same - it actually took 2 and a half hours to get the green light so I’m glad I invested in 2 chargers as I need to charge 18 batteries a week. Can’t comment on how long the batteries or chargers will work - I am hoping for 2 or 3 years as I did outlay quite a bit of money for the chargers and batteries - if they do it will of saved me a fortune in the long run but only time will tell.

This is a good charger. Works well and looks good all at a great price. Would buy again.
