Clubman After Shave Lotion 6.0z 170 ml

Old school barbershop fragrance. The opening is strong and intense, but within a few minutes it dries down into a lovely powdery oak moss scent. I like the smell of Clubman, but I use it for its antiseptic qualities, as it prevents razor burn from shaving.

Yes, this definitely brings back the 1970s in all their glory... Not unpleasant at all. But not like modern fragrances and a lot more affordable. Good as a "not going anywhere special but I'd still like to smell nice" fragrance. I'm using it liberally on hands and face during the Lockdown. The talc is nice too.

This is really amazing. This makes me want to shave in the morning and I keep trying to find excuses to put some on. Also, while the smell is a bit intense at first, it becomes really comfortable in just 3-4 minutes, smells amazing and stays like that for hours!

This stuff has form. Don't be fooled by the plastic bottle (or the price)... Pinaud Clubman is one of the granddaddy fougeres and highly regarded juice. It's from the 'old school' when aftershaves typically had a little more kick, and so to a extent doubles as an understated cologne. It's not overpowering but will tend to hamper application of an EDT. On the other hand, it's perfect for mornings where you want to carry a discreet, clean and masculine scent with you. I'd bathe in this stuff if I could; considering that the smaller 177ml bottle lasts pretty much forever maybe I should! See also Tabac for the true barbershop vibe (although in my opinion Pinaud edges it).

Borrowed (kind of) some of this from a friend and finally got some of my own. Goes on easy but need to be quick as it evaporates readily. Smell wise to me is very aniseed with a twist of liquorice and molten plastic, so from experience I'm decanting this into a glass bottle to get rid of that hint of molten plastic.

Extremely subjective to review a scent but did not like it. Would not wear daily. Nice label (I love how it looks so traditional and old fashioned!) but cheap bottle and cap.

This is the smell you used to get in barbers, slightly sweet, slightly musky a bit cheap maybe. I love it. Why? Because it has a warmth and muskiness and sweetness that lingers. Doesn't really sting when it goes on. OK, it's no upmarket EDT from Cartier or Guerlain but look at the price. Oh, and if you have no idea what an old fashioned Barber smells like, well you probably won't bother.

It’s more of a mature fragrance, and if you’re familiar with that classic, old-school barbershop smell, you’ll instantly recognize this scent—it’s great and nostalgic

Per chi cerca il profumo di un tempo questo è il dopobarba giusto !! Dura molto è mai invadente . Per chi cerca sollievo post rasatura con ottimo effetto disinfettante allora …. Questo è super top . !! Ovviamente giudizio personale ma i risultati sono assolutamente oggettivi . Perfetta anche la spedizione e non posso , a mia malincuore, trovare un appunto negativo

Das Rasierwasser duftet einfach klasse! Der Duft ist klassisch und hat den Kolör von Gentleman. Ich kann mir durchaus vorstellen, dass es nicht jedermanns Sache ist, wegen dem klassischen Grundcharakter, ich finde ihn nicht zu klassissch, sondern genau richtig. Diesen Duft gab es, wenn ich richtig leige schon seit 1810. Und ich muss sagen, Hut ab, nicht nur, daß er kräftig ist und länge hält, sein Duft ist komplex, konzentriert und vollständig, kein halbgares Zeug, sondern etwas für einen Gentleman, für einen Mann. Wie schon erwähnt, bestimmt nicht für Jeden, jedoch genau richtig für mich, es ist eins meiner absoluten Lieblingsdüfte.
