I bought these to replace some scissors that I lost. They are so lovely, better than the original. The matte coating gives them an elegant look which suits male and female users. They are weighty but not uncomfortable. They are sharp to the tip which is great for point cutting and the blades close smoothly all the way to the end giving a nice clean cut. Great for the price and the thinning shears are actually quite nice, not a cheap and nasty item added to make the whole package seem more affordable like some others. They again cut cleanly through the hair and can be slid out without tangles. Glad I got these. The little leatherette pouch is a nice touch, keeps them secure and tidy and looks professional. just what I needed for myself, they are sharp and not expensive but good quality

First class scissor set, Now I get a great hair cut by my wife, its a learning curve for her, but she is getting better every time as watched videos to help her along..Having good quality scissors than don't slip the hair along the blade and cut very precisely has made a massive difference.The size of the scissors she finds just right, The cut now is so much better than the first time she tried with regular kitchen / household scissors, a result that I did not want to be be repeated ! , With these I have not been to hairdresser since they were delivered, She now cuts my 5 yr old daughters hair , my 2 yr old sons and mine too. Saves us quite a bit money and time, and the cut is as good as I have had in many a barbers shop, and I can have my hair cut when ever I feel the need without having to take time out... 110 % recommended. ( ps never use for anything else other than cutting hair obviously, to maintain their sharpness )

Okay so here is my up date. As I have said, I am a professional hairdresser & have been using these scissors in the salon for the last 3.5 months. They have been really good over all, as I am using them at least 5x + a day, they have stayed sharp & cut well. Today while in use the rubber stop between the handles has disintegrated so they now sound noisey and tinny. The thinning scissors have been fantastic to. Over all a really good buy! Having been in the hairdressing industry for over 30 years and just wanted a cheep set at home to save carrying my expensive professional set around with me. Arrived promptly in a jiffy bag. I took them into the salon to try them out! I am very impressed! Slightly heavier than the Joewells & Jaguar's. (The only reason I dropped a star, would of liked to of been able to of put 4.5 instead). I have decided to take home my Jaguar scissors instead of these. Will update my review again when I have used them over a period of time.

Very sharp. I used some scissors lying around to cut myself a fringe - which only lead to split ends as the blades were dull. I bought these and they are great! The scissors come in an expensive looking leather-look pouch. They are lightweight and so easy to use and hold in my hands. I'm not a professional hairdresser, but I think I could be when I use these scissors!! I have since used them to give myself little trims instead of wasting £50 at the hairdresser for less than 1cm off! I also use them to trim my toddler's hair. I also really like the thinning scissors as they help to make the cut not so harsh and I even used them to blend in some layers framing my face!! Since I've had these scissors I must've saved at least £200 in haircuts for me and my little girl!

Great value for money. My little boy hates going to the barber's so I still cut his hair at home, and these are really nice. The previous shears I had had a really sharp point to them, so I was worried that if he moved I'd spike him! These don't have such a sharp point, but the blades themselves are razor sharp and cut beautifully. The thinning shears work great once I'd viewed a YouTube video on how to use them!

Great sharp scissors for a decent price. Bought for my daughter at Uni for cutting different types of real hair and prosthetic. Scissors have a sharp blade and cut a nice clean line on the hair. The thinning scissors are very very good too. My daughter is very satisfied with the results. Comes in a nice secure case, which looks and feels good quality with a magnetic flap to keep it closed.

I cant give it more than ok.. but not bad and for the price what do you expect. Hairdresser? not now .. was though, Toni & Guy, Wella, worked for a few well knowns Use to scissors costing me 3 figures so to trim a bit I thought Id risk it.. they are heavy and unbalanced, sharp but not razor sharp, blades are too thick. Mine have been retired to the dog grooming box. If your a novice and dont have a comparison they'll probably serve you well.

Before ordering these we tried a few different pairs (slightly less expensive), and I was not impressed with any of them. These ones definitely have the 'professional' feel I was looking for: super sharp and smooth (with wet hair and dry); nice and light. They also arrived (to Vancouver, BC) before the beginning of the expected arrival date, so that was awesome. I would note that they were half an inch shorter than the other pairs we tried, and the notch attached to the loops is in a different place... both of which I am very happy with. Absolutely recommend these to both strangers and friends.

Thinning shears were so dull they wouldn't cut the hair. Aweful.

Ich habe die Schere vor 1 1/2 Jahren gekauft und war immer sehr mit dem scharfen Schnitt und der guten Handlage zufrieden. Ich benutze sie ca. 1 mal im Monat zum Spitzenschneiden. Urplötzlich ist die Schere nun stumpf und sie lässt sich auch nicht mehr schärfen. Sie bleibt stumpf und führt keinen Schnitt mehr aus. Ich werde die Schere sehr vermissen :-(
