I find sopa irritates my excema prone senstive skin so tried a number of soap free products befre settling on this. Cleans without irritating, the pump dispenser is handy in the shower and its unscented, suits my skin.

The consistency of E45 wash cream takes some getting used to. It does not lather-up like a normal face / body wash so it feels like you are washing yourself in normal E45 cream / moisturiser . It appears to work ok though as a skin cleanser and after washing and drying your your skin feels like you have put E45 moisturiser on. If it did lather up just a bit I would have given in 5 stars.

I started using E45 wash as a face wash when ordinary soaps and face soaps began to make the skin around my eyes sore and dry, I have no problem using this as face soap and the soreness has gone away. The bottle states it can be used on the face just make sure you don’t get this wash in your eyes, neither will it lather like soap does. As a bonus my face gets moisturised, and a guy’s skin is no different from a woman’s skin, well other than men (usually) have whiskers, so the maintenance requirements are more or less the same.There probably are boutique branded washes with la-di-da claims involving lipids, French sounding laboratories and snake-oil sounding ingredients that may do the same, but why pay a premium for a name and still only get E45 performance or maybe only a small improvement. If beauty is your thing (my memory doesn't go that far back into my youth, and I was more concerned about zits then) then at the price this is worth a try. It might not be right for you but for some this will be a revelation.Unless you have dry hands needing the moisturising qualities that this provides you will probably find this soap too greasy for your liking as a hand wash. As others have mentioned it does leave a greasy moisturising residue on your skin, but for faces this shouldn't be as much of a problem; the moisturising it isn't visible so your skin won’t glisten.

I tried giving this product a go, while it is good the size is not enough for normal use and is really only suited for kids or babies. The value for money is not worth it honestly so it’s up to you if you will try this. It does leave your skin feelings oily and moisturised. It doesn’t spread very well but does the job and it does not foam at all.
