Best Book for Any Entrepreneur Period
Freddy is not only an incredible entrepreneur and operator, he's an even more impressive human being. I love how he describes that a big part of his motivation for this book is unlocking the insights that have helped him go from start-up to $40B tech icon for anyone, not just a select few silicon valley elite. Many extremely successful entrepreneurs will ride off into the sunset. Freddy, however, is clearly committed to giving back and helping the next generation of entrepreneurs. The book itself is incredibly well written, thought-provoking, and downright practical. I love how it touches on everything that actually matters to an entrepreneur spanning prioritization, hiring, fundraising, sales, building team culture, managing yourself and everything in between. I wish I had Zero to IPO at my side during my last two start-ups. There's no doubt in my mind this will be my go-to entrepreneurial bible for my next one. Thank you Freddy for sharing this with the world, Zero to IPO is a masterpiece!

Best entrepreneurship book in the last 10 years
I have long admired the Okta founders due to how open and candid they are about their journey from idea to IPO. This book is one of the best books I've read as a tech entrepreneur. I will be quoting many things to many of my fellow tech friends.First of all, the advice in this book is tactical and fits real life scenarios. Reading examples about the ups and downs and how to navigate both scenarios is really helpful.Secondly, the book covers so many topics that get straight to the point from hiring, promoting, fundraising, decision making, facing difficult decisions when customers ask for bespoke features, boards, etc. I think these examples really frame how to take control of the constant decision making that entrepreneurs are faced with.Lastly, I love the diverse entrepreneur profiles chosen in the book and their perspectives in running companies. It gave me a lot of hope and seeing myself represented makes a big difference.I would consider this book a must read and up there with the greats. Hats off to Frederic for making the journey slightly easier for the rest of us.

Entrepreneur's Blueprint Filled with Practical Wisdom
Zero to IPO isn't just a guide for entrepreneurs — it's a must-read manual for all executives and operators in high-growth businesses. Packed with practical advice, Kerrest’s book transcends other startup playbooks with valuable insights from his own legendary career and life learnings alongside those of Silicon Valley heavyweights like Ben Horowitz. The book is also a delight to listen to on audio, making it great for folks on the go. Highly recommended!

Cover to cover. Did not put it down.
It's that fun. Yes, fun. The author has unique way (in business writing, especially) of weaving an entertaining tale, while keeping the threads tight as the story unfolds. There are conveniently packaged chapters that punctuate the path from zero (which is defined as a great idea + a willing founder) to IPO. It's a process the author knows exceedingly well, and not only are they willing to share all the goods, but the recurring themes make everything feel actually doable.Having read my share of "do this" business dogma, Zero to IPO reads more like a riveting, behind-the-scenes memoir. In it, you get the operating instructions for Wall Street, which is nice, and the main character remains refreshingly relatable. The author also acknowledges that their experience isn't going to be everyone's experience for reasons of privilege and provides resources and ways to address this. BONUS: All book proceeds go to a related non-profit. Huge.In short: So many reasons to buy this book for every entrepreneur you know.

Building a startup is not a straightforward path
Building a startup is not a straightforward path, and it entails numerous challenges that require substantial experience. This book can help you understand what the path will look like and provide instructions that can help you avoid some of the mistakes you may encounter along the way. Additionally, it offers insights into the intricacies of the startup journey and provides a glimpse into what lies ahead.

Required reading for every SaaS founder
A fantastic book that will save SaaS founders from learning things "the hard way." One thing I love about the book is that it has a strong perspective -- it's not wishy-washy commentary, but rather a very specific collection of recommendations that can be put into action. Another great feature is the collection of interviews & advice from other successful founders ... the author has "street cred" by successfully building Okta into a huge software company, but having these extra perspectives gives confidence that the recommendations are broadly applicable (vs. things that worked at one company but might not generalize). Even as a 2nd-time enterprise SaaS founder I found in this book a lot of helpful suggestions and new ways of looking at things.

Extremely Useful
There are lots of books purporting to help entrepreneurs, but this really does so in a very effective manner. The book is very professionally done. The writing, layout and formatting is high quality which make it easy to read. It is very comprehensive but not overwhelming which makes it accessible. You can take it in bite sizes and not feel like you are missing something. A valuable book to read but also as a reference as entrepreneurs are in the midst of their challenging journey. Highly recommend.
