Had to return as this as it is sold as portable but in fact it has to be plugged into mains when using and is not chargeable. Also for full effect of 10,000 lux it has to be within 10cm of your face whilst using so if you you are able to sit by a socket for an hour a day with the lamp shining in your face (at 10cm away it is difficult to watch telly, read, do much at all as light is so bright). This is just not practicable. Well packaged and comes with a felt sleeve for portability but what to do with the cable and plug?? Bit of a waste of time really. Disappointed!

Th light is bright and looks well build, but honestly it’s 2026 and yet we have the case here where a non-usb/standard power source is used. It’s supposed to be portable, and comes with a nice cover but you really can’t pack the power source in it can you? So what is it for?

Practical use limited due to having to position the light 10cm away. Who would do that? I have mine on my laptop tray in the recess channel. That is 60cm away and it still feels close. That would require a minimum of eight hours exposure according to their instructions. Basically, the only way is to hold the lamp in front of your face for half an hour which prevents any other activity taking place. One star, as anyone desperate to sort out their sleep is going to think this is helping them when in reality it's doing very little

I've had two of these lamps. The first developed an annoying flicker, and then the on/off button occasionally wouldn't work after 4 months of daily use. Amazon arranged a return/replacement for that lamp. The new lamp then developed the same issues after 6 months! I returned the second lamp for a refund and will try a different make/model. It seems reading other reviews these are known issues with this lamp.

It's 10000 lux at 10cm, which just isn't a practical distance I think. If your desk is at the appropriate height ergonomically, then you literally can't have it within 10cm of your eyes unless you do a really odd setup. Just imagine if you had it on a bedside table instead of a desk, unless you're laying down next to it, it can never be within 10cm of your eyes.

I bought this last year for my wife, and these things really do seem to work. However, I recently got it out again now that the days are getting shorter only to find that it wouldnt turn on. After speaking to amazon support they said that because it had been in storage for 6-7 months the battery had reached its maximum shelf life and they need to be used from time to time. Considering that the only purpose of this product is to treat seasonal effective disorder, which as the name suggests is seasonal, this seems like a pretty huge design flaw. Fortunately Amazon support were really helpful and offered a full refund, but I would suggest buying a different SAD lamp unless you want to buy a new one every year.

It’s not portable or at least my version wasn’t. It was delivered covered in what I can only do scribe as chunks of hair attached to it and it smelt terrible too. I thought it was okay but have recently tried to use it without the plug and it doesn’t work at all so absolutely useless for what I purchased it for.

The on/off switch was dodgy from the beginning and I should have returned it but chose to use the power socket as an on/off instead. However after only 4 and a half weeks the only way you can keep the light on is to constantly have your finger pressing in the button. I have missed the return window by 2 days.

Impossible à brancher car c'est une prise anglaise. Malhonnête de ne pas le mentionner.

Really good product

I bought this product and it was fantastic for the first few days however after a very short period of time it started to flicker, I logged an issue however no one got back to me and the product has never worked properly since. It is constantly flickering and as a result I can’t leave it on.

Falscher Stecker. Lampe ging nicht mal an

Lampe kam schnell. Ausprobieren ging nicht, da der Stecker nicht in deutsche Steckdosen passt. Ist ein US Stecker dabei. Die selbe Lampe dann im Media Markt für weniger Geld und richtigem Stecker geholt.
