Nalgene Unisex's HDPE WM Water Bottle, White, 32oz/1 Litre

We picked up this Nalgene HDPE wide mouth and it's honestly become a bit of a motivator to get out on hikes. There's something about having a proper, rugged bottle ready to go that makes you want to fill it up and head out the door. The wide mouth is the best part. Last time we dropped in a slice of lemon and two slices of cucumber to give the water a bit of a twist, and the opening is wide enough to fit it all in easily and to clean out afterwards without any fuss. The HDPE is light, the litre capacity is plenty for a day out, and it feels like it'll take any amount of knocking about. A great bottle and well worth it. Would recommend to anyone wanting something simple and tough.

After seeing this recommended on the r/buyitforlife subreddit, I decided to try it since I kept dropping my old bottles and they’d always break. This one seems indestructible so far! The quality is fantastic, and it’s held up to everything I’ve put it through. It’s also dishwasher safe, so that’s a huge bonus. I did buy the sipper insert separately, which I’d recommend for easier drinking. Definitely worth factoring that into the cost. Overall, I can’t argue with the price for something this durable. Just wish I’d made the switch sooner!

This is a great bottle and sold at a great price. No leaks and holds plenty of water no matter what some people have said. A very well made bit of kit.

It's a Nalgene so pretty much bomb proof and quality. Much lighter than the regular Nalgene. No silly taste, no leaks. What more can you want?

First nalgene bottle i have purchased. I think it is great quality.. why i have’nt purchased one before is beyond my ideas…. Thick strong plastics but very durable & lightweight..great to hold… worth the extra couple of pounds than the more budget priducts.

The choice is Nalgene or you’re wrong, I have loads of this stuff and not a single piece has ever failed me.

Quick summary - I love it. This HDPE Nalgene is the classic white, translucent plastic from the 90s. Tritan is the very common, clear hard plastic that replaced the Lexan bottles that you see the most today. Check the pros and cons to see if HDPE or Tritan work better for you. Bottom line on top: Get HDPE if: You're using it for water, want to minimize weight and have the best durability. Get Tritan if: You use it for juice/sports drinks/protein shakes, hot liquids, and bottle weight is not a concern. HDPE Pros: + Absolute winner on weight and drop durability. HDPE is solid, it doesn't squish at all, but it is technically softer than Tritan. The upside to that is that if you drop it, it flexes and won't crack as easily as more rigid Tritan. + A little bit smaller. Might be a con for some people, but I think it's great. It's just slightly more compact. + Proven safety. HDPE has been around for decades in lab and food safety and the industry has a ton of data and experience with it. We're really, really sure this plastic is safe. I have no concerns about Tritan either but we don't have as much time with it as HDPE. HDPE Cons: - Slight odor when you first get it. Wash it with warm, soapy water and leave the cap open. The smell will fade and you won't ever notice it again. - Lower melting point. You can put boiling water into this but you'll feel the bottle start to go slightly soft. Tritan has a much higher melting point and stays firm. - Retains more odors than Tritan. If you're mixing sports drinks or protein shakes, those slight odors can linger slightly even after washing. You'll have to use baking soda to get them out. I wouldn't put hot coffee into an HDPE bottle. Tritan isn't perfect but does much better. - More prone to staining. I wouldn't put tomato juice or marinara sauce in HDPE. Es la mítica botella Nalgene. Con la boca grande de la botella. Blanca semitransparente. Y sin productos nocivos para la salud. Lo he utilizado cuando trabajo fuera, voy al gimnasio y en alguna excursión de invierno. Pensad que no tiene aislante, y los líquidos en verano se calientan muy rápido. Es mejor para el frío. Por lo demás es perfecta para mí.

Ótima garrafa, sem frescura. Fácil de carregar e de acompanhar o consumo.

For those wanting a Nalgene bottle but need to shave a few grams this is a good option. Be aware that it is softer & can’t handle as hot as tritan but it can still handle hot enough. This is my EDC bottle that I nest in a titanium cup. The 2 combined weigh similar to a regular tritan Nalgene. Would be even better if the lid was matching white I think. Oh & it’s about 5mm shorter than tritan Nalgene
