Incredible.I have venous insufficiency in my legs and the skin on the lower shin is thin. I bumped my shin on the corner of the dishwasher door, scuffing off a piece of skin about 1cm2. My immediate concern was an ulcer.Knowing the healing property of Manuka honey (NZ$ 1500 a jar! Not what you spread on your toast) I did some searching and found these patches. I only needed a small piece which I applied with a sterile dressing. After a day it was still weeping, so I applied another new piece. After 4 days (it can be left up to 7) I removed the dressing.It has completely healed! The small scab came off in the shower and you would not know there had been a wound.Did I need a pack of 10? Probably not but they are in sterile wrapping and I’m saving them for the future. I would recommend these to anyone particularly if you are elderly.

These have great healing power, but you must know how to use them properly, and there are no instructions with it.My mother had a very deep leg ulcer (about 1cm deep and 1cm in diameter), and the whole leg was swolen up and very red all around. We tried iodine pads etc. which were not improving it. I got these Manuka Honey pads for her and placed one 10 x 10cm sheet over the ulcer. The following day the ulcer appeared to be healing, although still very deep. However all of the skin under the pad got really red and pitted. So while it was helping the ulser, it was making the good skin red.So then we cut the one Manuka Honey pad to about 2cm x 2cm and placed it over the ulcer only, but not into it. Then we put a non sticky bandage over the Manuka Honey dressing and wrapped it around the leg. (don't put a sticky bandage on any red skin as it can tear damaged skin when you try to take it off). She kept the leg up above her heart level as much as possible every day. She tried not to stand for longer than 2 minutes , but to walk and wiggle her feet to help circulation.The Manuka Honey dressing absorbed a lot of fluid from the ulcer in the first few days. She was able to change the dressing herself - every day for the first week and every second day after that. We could see the ulcer improving all the time and the red and swelling improved. In all it took about 6 weeks, but the ulcer did fill out completely and the leg returned to normal size and colour.In another case, I knew a man got 1st degree burns on his forearm. The doctors were considering skin grafts. He decided to try these Manuka Dressings which he changed himself every second day. His skin fully recovered after 6 weeks.As with everything check first that you are not allergic to the dressing.

Great product for my wound care. A pity it is not available on prescription.

Alright fit size ease of use comfort skin irritation no problems

I've never written an Amazon review before... but I felt I need to tell the world about this product!I had surgery and struggled with an infection and subsequent wound healing issues. Once the infection was dealt with, I was left with a wound the size of a one penny piece for 9 months. With trips back and forth to my surgeon, nothing seemed to be working. I felt completely hopeless and started imagining that I'd probably have to live with the wound forever!After a host of physical tests showed everything was normal, I could only assume my wound care was lacking. I was put on to honey dressings by a friend and thought it was worth a try.I started using this product, cutting it to size and securing it with a showerproof dressing. I was changing it every couple of days. After 2 weeks, the wound is now healed!!!!!!! Unbelievable. A wound that had shown no signs of healing for nearly 9 months was now healed!!!! I've genuinely never been more thrilled and my quality of life has vastly improved. I encourage anyone with a similar issue to buy this product!!! Worth every penny and more.

I would like to rate this five stars but am unsure that the dressings were the sole cure for my mothers ulcer on her leg as she had been using honey for a couple of weeks prior to applying these. However, I would recommend them as I believe in honey as a cure and these dressings are so versatile as they can be cut to size and are easy to apply.

Fab dose the job

I use these honey dressings for treating small ulcers on my mums swollen legs. Very effective at healing them in a few days, you need to apply and then add another simple sticky backed dressing on the top to keep it on. This way I can heal these sores before they get bigger, as we would have to get a nurse involved. Never used them for anything else yet but healing properties seem to be very good. You can also use them by cutting them up with clean scissors so economical.
