I bought one of these "cobbles" to try out the idea of hosting music on a network drive, and was so pleased with the results I bought two more for other rooms in our home.It was very easy to configure on the wireless network using the official android app, which also acts as a controller. You can direct music from a server containing music files to the cobble, which sends music to your amplifier & speakers via standard hi-fi wires.I initially used a laptop as the server, but soon replaced it with a Synology DiskStation DS215j 2 Bay Desktop NAS server. The cobble connected to this no problem at all via DLNA.At one point I had a problem with intermittent playback and the cobble wouldn't stay on the network, but this was because of poor WIFI coverage in the area it was located. Improving WIFI in that area coverage fixed the problem. And as a bonus, I discovered that you can use the cobble as a WIFI repeater, effectively boosting the strength of WIFI signal in weaker areas of the home! Just use the cobble as your WIFI network "router" rather than your usual router, and it will send all the network traffic transparently along it. Genius!The official android app works but the user interface for playing music is a bit clunky. Fortunately the cobble works with standard DLNA controllers, so once you've used the app to set it up on your network, you can use other standard controller apps from your phone or laptop. At the moment I'm using the DS Audio player that came with the Synology NAS server, and it works seamlessly.Audio quality sounds good to me, through a range of speakers and headphones. All in all a great experience.

This is a brilliant product for those who already have good quality speakers but want to drag them into the 21 century and set themselves up with a multi room round system!First impressions good packaging, no fuss but equally well protected.The basic setup was simple with the MUZO app. Took 5 mins until I was able to play music over wifi. The more advanced setup, with adding a password and changing the name of the hotspot caused a little more hassle. First attempt I added a password, and then changed the name. The system didn't like this and kept returning an error message when I input the password. If this has happened to anyone else fear not you can do a factory reset from the smartphone app. The correct way of doing this is to change the hotspot name first, then change the password and this works fine.The reason I haven't given this five stars is that when you push the volume right up on the app there is a slight crackle to the sound in quiet points in the song. However you can resolve this by turning up your stereo volume to max and then using the app at half volume.The delivery was really quick, faster than the estimated time by 3 days!Excited to get a second to make this a true multiroom experience!

A great product, I love it! Purchased two of these to provide simultaneous playback from separate lounge and dining room hifi systems and it works beautifully. After downloading the Muzo app from the play store, setup was straightforward (once I had read the instructions properly) and the units were linked to my wifi system. I was then able to play music from my phone and tablets in both rooms. Sound quality was excellent with no noticeable losses and remained in sync. In addition I was able to connect via Spotify and stream directly to both units. I used this for a party at the weekend and it performed well all night without any issues. The units are also very appealing visually, looking like granite pebbles and appear to be a high quality item. They are certainly nice enough looking to not need to hide away.When I purchased these items I used a promotional code that was mistakenly provide by Amazon giving me £15 pounds off the purchase. A gentlemen from DigiFunk telephoned to advise me that this was a mistake but he very kindly honoured the price. When I had an issue (of my own making) during setup I emailed DigiFunk and very quickly got a phone call to assist, although I had already worked out the error of my ways.In summary this is a great item to provide a Sonos type multi-room sound system at a fraction of the price enabling you to use your existing sound systems. In addition DigiFunk have shown excellent customer service with this item.

I've had a cobblestone for just over a year now. It promised to be such a nice little music player for spotify. I was especially keen on the possibility of using an ethernet connection for better reliability. Getting it up and running was easy, looks good, feels good, connects well with Spotify...but massively let down by the build quality: The 3.5mm jack socket, which is the only audio output, is terrible. The supplied jack to jack cable is really poor quality, resulting in crackling and popping. I can live with replacing a bad cable, but after plugging in a decent jack to phono, one channel stopped working altogether. The ethernet socket is equally bad, the slightest touch results in disconnections. I've tried several cables, but the amount of play after you plug in is ridiculous. Once the connection is lost, you often have to power cycle before it can be persuaded to play again.Maybe I'll have to try an amaon echo, though it's inviting the man into your crib, er man.
